I think celebrations of Charlie Kirk’s murder will be the “drag queen story time” of Woke 2.
Just something that is transparently crazy to most normal people, but people will do it to signal allegiance to the tribe, and because they think they can get away with it

I don't want to shame any particular woman here, but publicly announcing that the #RussellBrand conviction must be wrong because you went home with him and he didn't rape you makes about as much sense as saying 'well, I left 25 Cromwell Street alive, so Fred West's innocent.'

We just entered a "men gloating at the Islamic caliphate taking over in the UK, so women and their logical arguments could 'disappear'" stage of testerical tantrum at a famous rapist being convicted and women not tolerating victim blaming shit anymore.

Russell Brand mildly sexually harassed me at a party in 1999. It didn’t occur to me to report him, it was just part of the experience of a young woman working at the Edinburgh festivals in those days, he wasn’t even the worst. But anyone arguing that he’s not guilty is a mad cunt

As always, I love to remind people that the director told him to look at her like he had a massive erection the whole time in this scene 😁

My friend's cousin, a student nurse at Stoke Mandeville in 1978, told us the same. She cried when my friend's mum excitedly asked what 'Jimmy' was like - told us the nurses who had raised the alarm were silenced and the only thing they could do was try not to leave vulnerable patients alone with him but the trouble was they were all extremely vulnerable and they couldn't guard them all.
Time and time again - everyone knows - no-one does anything - then much hand wringing and wailing about lessons to be learnt but they never are.

We fought to stop self ID as a policy, the conversion bill is a back door way to self ID. We’ll be right back at the start of the fight against an unscientific ideology if it’s passed. Time to stop staying silent if you care about our vulnerable kids or free speech.

The Islamic slave trade started centuries earlier, lasted longer, and enslaved millions of Africans, and yet it's barely taught.
The Arab Islamic slave trade ran for over 1,300 years, from the 7th century to well into the 20th century. It moved Africans across the Sahara, the Red Sea, and the Indian Ocean to North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
The Atlantic slave trade ran for about 400, and transported about 12.5 million Africans across the Atlantic.
The Arab Islamic slave trade was clearly far bigger, and it was brutal.
Islamic law discouraged enslaving Muslims but allowed enslaving non-Muslims. Millions of men were castrated so they could serve as eunuchs, and millions of women were taken as concubines. Millions died crossing the Sahara, a death rate even higher than the Middle Passage.
Slavery was only officially abolished in Saudi Arabia in 1962 and in Mauritania in 1981. It still exists in parts of Libya and Sudan today.
So why is only one slave trade taught?
If schools taught the full story, young Black people would learn that slavery was not a white invention. It was a universal evil, practiced by Africans selling Africans, Arabs enslaving Africans, Europeans enslaving Africans, and Africans enslaving other Africans.
Instead, many curricula teach a framed narrative in which white people are the sole perpetrators of slavery.
Teach it that way, and an entire generation of young Black people is taught to hate white people. That's the goal: not truth, not healing, but resentment.
Real history doesn't excuse the Atlantic trade. It was evil. But real history also doesn't excuse the Arab trade, or African kingdoms like Dahomey and Asante that grew rich selling captives.
If we want truth, teach all of it. If we only teach one half, it's not education. It's indoctrination.

So apparently, a woman wearing a short dress and dancing is now considered “Islamophobia” and “spreading hatred.”
If they are so upset about seeing a free woman having fun, maybe they should go live in one of the 50 Muslim countries!

What is it with the UK’s charity sector? This time Save the Children.
Good story from @Telegraph
‘The report recommended that staff strongly “resist the use of Hitler, Nazi and Holocaust metaphors, distortions and comparisons” when discussing the Gaza war and the wider Israel-Palestine conflict.
It also urged staff not to use Zionist as a code word for Jewish people, and to only use the term Zionist “advisedly, carefully and never euphemistically or as part of personal abuse”.
But the charity decided not to introduce a bespoke policy on the use of Nazi and Holocaust metaphors or the use of the term Zionist, stating that these concerns were already governed by its existing code of conduct and communications guidelines.’

I’m beginning to hate AI. It’s flattening everything , reducing everything to its lowest common denominator
Spotify just announced a feature that could either save the music industry or destroy it.
Starting as early as Q1 2027, Spotify Premium subscribers will be able to use AI to transform any participating artist’s song into a completely different version. Turn a folk ballad into a dance track. Make a hip-hop song sound acoustic. Generate a cover where one artist’s voice performs another artist’s song. Remix a pop hit into lo-fi study music. Create the version of your favorite song that only existed in your head until now.
The remixes will be uploaded directly to Spotify. They’ll appear in playlists. They’ll count toward the original song’s chart position. And most importantly the original artist will earn royalties every time someone listens to a fan-created remix of their work.
Spotify has already signed a landmark licensing deal with Universal Music Group the world’s largest record label. Negotiations with Sony Music and Warner Music are ongoing. The feature will cost an additional $4–$5/month on top of Spotify Premium. And analysts project 7–8% of American subscribers will adopt it by 2028.
This is not Suno or Udio generating music from text prompts. This is fans remixing real songs by real artists with the artists’ permission, on the world’s largest streaming platform, with royalties flowing back to the creators.
A music industry analyst who’s covered streaming economics for 15 years told her team something after reading the licensing agreement that reframed how she understood the future of recorded music.
“Spotify just turned 640 million listeners into 640 million potential remixers. The question isn’t whether people will use it they will. The question is whether paying artists for fan remixes solves the economics of streaming or creates a world where the original recording is worth less than the infinite remixes generated from it.”
Here’s what Spotify’s AI remix feature actually is, who wins, who loses, and why this might be the most consequential decision in the music industry since the launch of streaming itself 🧵

Good grief @PeterTatchell will you PLEASE stop making things up. The Bill does NOT say ANYTHING about assumptions that the victim is “damaged, broken, perverted, abnormal, sick or immoral”. You say here that's an actual criterion in the Bill. It is not. You have to stop this.
