"We must no longer accept Netanyahu's racist division between Jewish votes and Arab votes."
Golan, a former deputy army chief whose party is projected to win eight seats, has signaled he wants the opposition to partner with the Palestinian parties to form a government.
But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spent the campaign, including Election Day, inciting against the Palestinian population in Israel, and has tried to paint any such alliance as illegitimate.
Two key opposition leaders have ruled it out: former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, whose Yisrael Beiteinu party is projected to win seven seats, and former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who heads the Together list with Yair Lapid, projected to win 12.

⭕️ Israel's Arab parties say they're ready to help oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot hasn't taken them up on it.
🔸"The Joint List will do everything in its power to bring an end to Netanyahu's rule," the alliance said in a statement Wednesday, adding that it was "prepared for political cooperation to establish an alternative government," according to Ynet. Its chairman, Yousef Jabareen, said the first step is "removing Netanyahu and the Knesset speaker."
🔸Joint List lawmaker Ahmad Tibi said the party would support a government from outside without seeking cabinet posts. In return, it wants a serious crackdown on crime in Arab communities and an end to home demolitions in Bedouin villages.
🔸Eisenkot and his partners must "show courage," Tibi said. Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas credited his community's record turnout to far-right ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.
Eisenkot hasn't reached out, Tibi said. Eisenkot has repeated that his priority is a "Zionist government committed to military conscription."

⭕️ Breaking: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has pushed out the Pentagon's top war planner, the general serving as J-5, the chief of strategy, plans and policy on the Joint Staff, The Atlantic's Nancy Youssef reported Wednesday.
It's the second J-5 forced out under Hegseth, according to Fox News' Jennifer Griffin. Lt. Gen. Joe McGee was pushed out of the post last October amid tensions with Hegseth, CNN reported at the time.
It leaves the Joint Staff serving Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Dan Caine without its chief planner as the US weighs resuming strikes on Iran, Griffin noted.

Devoted to advocating for a more equitable distribution of wealth in America, she worked tirelessly for disadvantaged farmworkers.
Ilana and I had the honor of knowing Dolores. She was charming, fiery, and and an instrumental part of so many people's lives, often working under the radar without little credit given for her efforts.
We will remember her fondly, and her message of "Sí, se puede!" (Yes, we can!) will live on.
Sending our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Netanyahu’s opponents have the votes to end his rule.
But in Israel, tribalism/colonialism trumps democracy, and ethnicity trumps citizenship.
Palestinian citizens of Israel turned out in record numbers. The Joint List and Ra’am won an historic 17 seats, the largest Arab representation in the Knesset’s history.
They are offering to save Israel by voting Netanyahu out.
All the opposition has to do is choose: a democracy for all its citizens, or Jewish supremacy enforced through military rule, apartheid, ethnic cleansing and permanent illegal occupation.
It is a choice, and the opposition will own it.
A “democracy” that denies its own citizens power because of their ethnicity/race is NO democracy at all. It is apartheid: authoritarianism with elections.
