GM! Hope your week has gone well! I’ve been quiet this week. Working on getting through some difficult stuff again, so I’ve been playing with the plotter and finishing up a few other pieces. Two of these will become NFTs this weekend, along with Raid Chronicles #4!

It also plays some pretty sweet robot jazz 🤣

That’s exactly what I’ve ended up doing with it! Wip, this one is marker/ink, I’m still learning how to use fills but so far it’s been a very big help. Going to try multiple colors on another one soon, still working on clean exits so it doesn’t leave tails.

So far it’s working pretty well! Not a bad rabbit hole to head down, lol. Ink/pencil piece I created with it this morning to try out Inkscape. Needs some work but…it’ll work!

Tangent thing but art-related! I’ve had a lot of trouble with my hands and drawing and writing recently due to some med side effects, so I put this plotter together to help me out. Still learning and creating my first piece to send through it, this was a test file not my own design, but, I think I might try and use this little guy on some of the final Grendel pieces coming up soonish...🤔🤖✍️

I have to really get on this raid today and start getting some messages out. I was forced to log out yesterday so I missed things again, but it was family time, unavoidable, sorry. Also to briefly summarize everything relevant specifically to this community in all of this: Don’t. Be. Grendel. Do everything he didn’t, and doesn’t, regardless of all he’s capable of. Learn your resources. Learn the community. Reach out to people. Help them understand how things work. Especially when they openly ask for feedback. And that goes both ways. There’s the short, succinct version of the messages relevant to this community in the story. I mirrored and magnified things I observed and experienced. As a person, and as a very passionate artist who has no concept of how to become part of a community, but wanted nothing more. Please remember that. I was finally invited to the Objkt Discord this weekend. I knew about it. But it took that long. I even passively made a big deal about having figured out Discord. I showed you signs all along I had no ideas on how this community worked. No one ever tried to fix that. There are lessons here. It’s not about any ideologies, or opinions, or who’s right and who’s wrong. You’re all right, you’re all wrong. I’m right, and I’m wrong, too. That’s how life goes. But always keep reflecting and connecting in life. Don’t be afraid of monsters—question them. They love it.
