Congratulations, Carson, on your win. I look forward to working together for the people we are blessed to represent in Ottawa and Victoria.
Vancouver-Quilchena, I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming trust you have placed in me. This victory belongs to our community.
And to the people of British Columbia, thank you for sending a strong Conservative majority mandate to Victoria. It’s time to get B.C. back on track. That work has already started.

#VPDNews: The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is asking for help to identify a man who was found in medical distress on a sidewalk near Keefer and Columbia streets on September 7.
He was subsequently taken to hospital and passed away on September 11. Investigators do not suspect foul play and are not conducting a criminal investigation.
Attempts to identify the man through DNA, missing person reports, and police databases have been unsuccessful.
The deceased man appears to be white, between 45 and 60 years old, and 180 pounds. He had short grey/brown hair, brown eyes, and dentures, and a tattoo of an anchor on his upper left arm. VPD investigators are releasing a picture of the tattoo with hopes that someone may recognize it.
Anyone who has information is asked to call VPD's Missing Person Unit at 604-717-2530 or email [email protected].
This is what we need to see more of in politics.
Thank you, Sunita.
For the past two years, Sunita has served Vancouver-Langara as MLA, and she has done it with real heart. I got to know her through my work in the Jewish community, and what began as a working relationship grew into a genuine friendship.
Sunita is one of the warmest, most caring people I know in public life. She works incredibly hard, and she has a rare gift for connecting with people, whoever they are and wherever they come from. I'll never forget her coming straight from Victoria to our CLEAR Alzheimer's dinner to speak to the families we support. It meant a great deal to me.
We ran against each other this fall, but that never changed how I feel about her. Thank you for your service to this community and for your friendship. Vancouver-Langara is better for the work you've done.

Congratulations, President @LulaOficial, on your re-election in Brazil.
The relationship between Canada and Brazil has flourished under our partnership. Let’s seize this opportunity to make it even stronger, together — to create major new trade opportunities, protect the environment, and build greater prosperity for both our peoples.

Thank you, British Columbia.
Tonight, you voted for change. You voted for a government that will listen, keep life affordable, and never take your hard-earned money for granted.
I want to thank every volunteer who knocked on doors, made calls, and put up signs in the rain. I want to thank our candidates, who stepped forward in a snap election with no time to spare. And I want to thank my wife Shelley and my family for standing beside me every step of the way.
To those who didn’t vote for us: I will work just as hard for you. This is your government too.
The work starts now. Let’s get to it.
This is an excellent choice.
NEW - Premier-elect @LDoerkson has named Kim Henderson, former deputy minister to premier Christy Clark, as the head of his transition team as he will begin the process of taking over government in the weeks ahead.
Congratulations to @LDoerkson, our new B.C. Premier.
To the MLAs who overlap with VanGran, including our new MLAs @jaimestein, and @LaraHonrado - I look forward to working with you.
I also want to thank @SunitaDhirBC and @Dave_Eby for their service to BC.
Let's get to work.

One of the most important elections of our time is hours away, BC.
On Saturday, your vote will shape the future of our province. Vote in who you know will partner with local and federal leaders to build BC and Canada strong. That means delivering on affordable homes, resilient community infrastructure, and the transit we need to keep moving - building sustainably and in partnership with First Nations.
Vote with your values, and for leaders with the experience to deliver in these tough times and for the generations to come. See you at the polls!

As the BC provincial election nears this weekend, I urge you to go out and vote. Exercise that right to decide who you wish to form government which is the core of Democracy. This duty of civil society is even more important in these critical times, as Canada seeks to maintain its independence as one, strong, sovereign nation. I hope we will elect a BC government that would lead us forward, to a progressive, social and economic future together: hopeful, compassionate, united and resilient.

On this day in 2014, Corporal Nathan Cirillo was killed at the National War Memorial. The shooter ran to the Parliament Buildings where he was killed.
