Yeah something that’s been totally absent from the DGA/Texas discourse is that, unlike the DCCC and DSCC which operate under one set of federal campaign finance limits, the DGA has to abide by 50 different sets of state-level limits. Not all $ can be spent the same way everywhere
Andy Beshear was asked why he has not invested much in the Texas governor race: ā€œI’ve got a size 10 budget with a size 16 map and Texas came into play later than othersā€ ā€œTexas is more expensive to move the needle it’s also a direct give stateā€

Gov. @AndyBeshearKY: Elect Democratic governors. We do things Republicans can't. We govern well. We invest in education, in good jobs, in safe roads and bridges, in public safety, the types of things that lift everyone up and leave no one out. It is absolutely critical to know that Democrats are the last line of defense, that stand up for our people, that push back, that say this is our democracy, and you cannot take it.

Amy Acton is a compassionate, hardworking leader who will always put Ohio families first. Ohio deserves a governor who leads with decency and integrity, and I’m proud to stand with Amy. @amyactonoh

If the new Carrie reboot took place in 2021 I know Margaret White would’ve run her local Moms for Liberty chapter like the navy

New in @playbookdc: The DGA thinks they can get to 26 governor’s seats, but they’re cash strapped, being drastically outspent and they need $20M more in the final stretch, according to a new memo. —They’ve spent $10M in races in AZ, GA, Iowa, MI, NEV, Ohio and WI. They’ve dropped seven figures in Alaska and Kansas, plus $1M in Texas. —Memo leaves the door open to possible spending in races in FL, OK and NEB. They’re heavily pushing their investments in Black candidates like Keisha Lance Bottoms in GA. —But the memo also says the quiet part out loud: GOP is spending significantly more, and Dem Party has had ā€œsignificant challengeā€ with raising $$ for statewide races. To close the gap they need $20M at least, DGA says. Reading between the lines: this is also a big test for the political prowess of its chair, Gov. Andy Beshear, who’s openly mulled about a 2028 bid.
