Sejurus selesai mempengerusikan mesyuarat JSCMC bersama dengan Menteri Chee Hong Tat di Singapura, saya bergegas pulang ke tanah air bagi memberikan penghormatan terakhir buat mendiang Dato’ V. Valluvan di Puchong.
Mendiang merupakan antara susuk yang menggerakkan polisi-polisi utama di Kementerian Ekonomi.
Walaupun hanya di belakang tabir, tetapi khidmatnya fokus kepada meningkatkan keupayaan negara termasuk melalui Kerjasama Kerajaan Malaysia bersama Arm Limited dalam bidang semikonduktor selain menggerakkan usaha meningkatkan keupayaan penyelidikan dan inovasi melalui cetusan program INNOVATHON, Junior Innovathon dan pelbagai lagi.
Saya juga hargai dedikasi beliau selaku penjawat awam yang proaktif dengan can-do attitude yang cukup tinggi dalam menjayakan fokus dan perancangan Kementerian.
Antara urusan terakhir kami juga adalah dalam menjayakan acara KL20 - untuk merancakkan ekosistem start up di Malaysia.
Saya masih teringat beliau komited untuk melaksanakannya di tiga lokasi supaya fokusnya bukan sahaja pada ekosistem start up, tetapi industri semikonduktor dan ekonomi jingga.
Jasa baik mendiang serta sumbangannya untuk negara serta generasi akan datang melalui perkhidmatan awamnya akan kami sentiasa kenang.
Takziah sekali lagi buat seluruh ahli keluarga.

Saya amat sedih atas pemergian YBhg. Dato’ Ts. V. Valluvan A/L Veloo, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha (Makro), Kementerian Ekonomi, yang telah meninggal dunia semalam di Institut Jantung Negara (IJN).
Sepanjang perkhidmatannya, mendiang banyak menyumbang tenaga dan kepakaran dalam gerak kerja di Kementerian Ekonomi serta dalam perkhidmatan awam.
Kehilangan ini amat dirasai oleh seluruh warga Kementerian Ekonomi.
Salam takziah saya ucapkan buat seluruh ahli keluarga mendiang. Semoga diberikan kekuatan dan ketabahan menghadapi ujian ini.

As our panel begins, Dato Dr. Punitha Silivarajoo, Deputy DG of @bheuu_jpm highlighted that the biggest hurdle is, “to change the mindset of civil servants.” She added that, “we want it to be accessible to all and we cannot make it difficult for the Rakyat.”
She stressed that timely access matters like “when you request for information, how soon can you get your information?” and that “proactive disclosure would make it easier”.
