Hi everyone, I have some big personal news: I’m moving back to Winnipeg! Thrilled to be The Globe and Mail’s Manitoba reporter, as I join the incredible @globeandmail national team to tell stories out of this beautiful, unpredictable, sardonic and ever-evolving region of Canada. – at Winnipeg, Manitoba

We sought comment from you before publication. You didn't respond. A tweet almost 24 hours later is not a comment answering our questions.
The @nytimes article by @apoorva_nyc still says HHS “did not provide a comment.” We sent @SecKennedy’s response more than 24 hours ago and asked them to update the story. They haven’t. Readers deserve the full story. Here’s the response the Times has yet to include.

I will die on this hill: The government is not the boss of reporters. The "question limit" is a COVID hangover. If politicians don't want reporters repeating questions after the "limit" they imposed to avoid pushback, they should answer them the first time.
Replying to @HappyHourHoward
She's always interrupting and going over her question limit. Rude.

To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
The Prime Minister’s Office: The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation. Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable. But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual. The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence. We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria. The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.

Good on the reporter here for steamrolling past that staffer for trying to move on from the measles question.
Reporter: Has the war had an impact on your campaign at this point? Staffer: We’re not going to talk about that. Reporter: Mr. Secretary, do you believe that five deaths, potentially six, from measles in the state of Pennsylvania— Staffer: We’re also not going to talk about measles. Reporter: He’s the highest ranking health official in the country. He can answer that question. He’s a Cabinet secretary. RFK JR: The measles outbreak is occurring because so many people went unvaccinated during the COVID pandemic. And this is something that Anthony Fauci, in fact, predicted

She was one of the best. A damn good reporter and a lovely person as an added bonus.
A colleague at CP who covered the 2003 SARS outbreak and catapulted from that into a decades-long career as a world-leading health reporter. What a loss.

This video has been all over my timeline and I dismissed it as not possibly living up to the hype and boy oh boy was I wrong.
Watch this to the end, you won’t regret it. This is what happens when you’re at happy hour and are reminded you agreed to do an interview about your race.

One of the things that I learned when I had to work with archives is ask what it means to bear witness to the lives of those who are frozen in time in an archive. So to animate them using AI is so profoundly grotesque that I am left utterly baffled by this.
