When someone points out something that we/our church aren’t/isn’t doing well, it’s crucial that we don’t respond by belittling it or dismissing it as their hobby horse/pet passion. It’s good to say, “You’re right: that really IS important, and we’re not doing it well right now.”

2 minutes from the sermon today on political idolatry, the danger of claiming that God has a vested interest in the material prosperity of one country over another or one political party over another...and the temptation to call out someone else’s idols while ignoring our own.

If Christmas is just a nice legend, in a sense you are on your own. But if Christmas is true, then you can be saved by grace which changes everything.

It’s amazing the violence people will commit in the name of peace:
It’s amazing the hate people will show in the name of love:
It’s amazing the oppression people will exert in the name of justice.

I'm afraid the American Church strives harder to preserve the rights of Christians in our nation than we strive to proclaim the riches of Christ to the nations. God, revive us.
Love how @aaronstern and his team are rethinking how church is done without compromising any of the mission and vision!🙌🏼🙌🏼

American notions of freedom are usually at odds with Christian freedom.
American freedom says, “my freedom is mine to enjoy.”
Christian freedom says “my freedom is for the purpose of serving my neighbor.” (Gal 5:13)
