If you're like me, using a Logitech mouse on a Mac and hating the choppy scrolling, you probably want smooth scrolling. I vibe-coded this 7 months ago. Today I also got tired of opening Raycast just for app shortcuts, especially now that it's packed with AI features I don't use, so I added app shortcuts to the utility itself. github.com/thanipro/smooth-s…

Every now and then, I come across people who swear certain things aren't possible. I've noticed they rarely grow exponentially, because they box themselves in. I'm not saying this particular post is true, other than the title, I did not even read and it might be a made up story, but people are doing this. If you doubt it, go look and you'll find them. Get inspired and learn. It's the only way to grow, and even if you don't achieve what they did, you'll gain a lot along the way.
People are making money in this life. $12k every month as a Nigerian living in Nigeria btw.

The “learn how to sell” part is exactly why people are still working 9-to-5 jobs. You can build something, get lucky, and watch it blow up, but 7 out of 10 times, it just won’t happen.
This guy on Reddit just BROKE DOWN how to escape a corporate job you hate in 6 weeks:

When you interview at a company like Revolut, some egotistical engineers will mark you down for not diving deep enough into multi-region architecture and system resilience. But look at what happened today.

And please, spare me the lecture about shared dependencies. If your engineering hiring bar is high, I expect your systems to live up to the same standards.

Very soon, I am going to mute everything AI from my timeline, only a matter of time. Till then, I will continue to ride along.

Earlier this year I was interviewing a dev for an AI Engineer position. Prior to the call, I had asked him to make sure he had Docker installed. When he shared his screen and I saw that he uses Windows, I wasn't impressed, but again, I tried my best not to let that affect my judgement. I hinted that he should use Docker so he could spin up dependencies like Langfuse for proper observability, but he insisted on going bare metal. I ended up being right. Sometimes little things like this give some sort of impression.
this interviewer told me to share my screen! the moment he saw i was using linux and cli to open my ide, he was like “let’s just skip the coding part” 😹🤝

I feel for non-technical founders who don’t have a technical co-founder. I know the amount of work I put into the things I ship, and I understand how hard it is to build something solid and reliable. There are days I’m up until 4am shipping fixes, pushing new updates, or dealing with issues that simply cannot wait. Finding a developer who will consistently have that same level of ownership and dedication to your product is not common. Sometimes it’s not even about how good the developer is. There’s just a different level of commitment that comes with knowing the product is yours and its success or failure rests on you.

She's given you a blueprint. Go get the same MBA she did and apply for the same position. Advise your unhoused and jobless friends and family to do the same. Wishing y'all the best in your pursuit of fulfillment.

I’ve had a crazy year so far. Thanks to LLMs, I can almost say that I have pushed more code this year than I have in the last 15 years of my coding life. I haven’t missed a single day of commits this year. Even on the day I thought I was going to die from stomach pain, I still somehow squeezed out like 60 commits. 😂

looking at all the stuff programmers have been building since AI unleashed them is a great reminder of why product people exist

A new day to update that internal documentation. What is worse than no documentation is an outdated documentation.
