Fauci's diary entry for May 21, 2020 is one of the most grotesque documents you will ever read. It opens with the mounting Covid death toll and people dying across the country, then abruptly pivots into an extended exercise in self-congratulation about his newfound fame. The paper added that while the Secret Service is investigating how it got there, it is important to note that White House staffers are allowed to give tours to guests, who are asked to leave their cellphones in small boxes just before entering the West Wing. It said that's where it was found.
