really strong build day today.
release 03 went live yesterday. today we immediately started building on top of it, and GARDN agents are already moving past the one-read → one-answer model.
what moved today:
→ got the first version of multi-step agents working
→ agents can read a feed, extract targets, follow them, check each one and compare the results in a single run
→ combined off-chain discovery with on-chain verification
→ added validation around everything an agent follows
→ capped fan-out so multi-step runs stay predictable
→ failed follows are recorded instead of disappearing
→ built support for bringing your own data-provider API keys
→ keys stay encrypted, never reach the model and never appear in run evidence
→ provider requirements can travel with an agent without the actual key travelling with it
→ more contracts + commits pushed publicly
→ 22 contracts, 167 tests green
this is a pretty big jump from where GARDN was even a few days ago.
an agent could originally read one thing and return a result.
now we’re building toward agents that can take a job, work through multiple steps, reach much better data and eventually keep doing that job on their own.
and all of this feeds directly into the marketplace later - agents that can be built, tested, proven, inspected and sold without private credentials ever being bundled into them.
