🧵Google DeepMind just dropped a bombshell:
An AI agent that autonomously writes algorithms better than humans.
It’s called AlphaEvolve, and it could completely change how we build software and solve problems.
Here’s why this changes everything👇

A case study of how @LinkedIn was able to save 94% of processing time and 50% resources by switching from Lambda Architecture to Apache Beam
❇️ What Is Lambda Architecture ?
• Streaming and Batch processing are maintained as separate pipelines
• Engineers need to code twice for both streaming and batch
❇️ What Apache Beam ?
• Open sourced, unified model for building both batch and streaming data-parallel processing pipelines.
• Using one of the open source Beam SDKs, users can build a program that defines the pipeline.
• The pipeline is then executed by one of Beam’s supported distributed processing back-ends (e.g. Samza, Spark and Apache Flink)
❇️ The problem at LinkedIn ?
• The complex ML models needed data at a speed of ~40,000profiles/sec
• The Lambda Architecture simply couldn't keep up with it
❇️ The solution ?
• Developers develop a single code base written in Beam
• If target processing is streaming use a Samza cluster else use a Spark cluster. The individual clusters can then be scaled as per the requirement
• Teams get to take advantage of both streaming & batch by writing a single code base

That’s all for now !!!!
