Rodri is 30 years old and Bernal is 19. At most, Rodri will give us 3-4 years, of which Bernal would just be 23, at his absolute prime, after having the opportunity to learn from one of if not the best defensive midfielder of this generation and all time. There’s no doubt in my mind, there’s no down side to this signing, if it goes through.
I love Rodri as a player and there is no doubt that he is going to be a good addition to our squad.
But my fear is what about Bernal? Don't you guys think signing Rodri will slow down Bernal's growth, and what happens if Frenkie comes back after 6 months, that will be Rodri, Frenkie, and Bernal as our DM and i think in all of these Bernal will be the one that will be marginalized, i don't want us to lose Bernal the same way we lost Dro to Psg.
I love Rodri and he will be a good addition to the squad but do we really need Rodri? Think about Gavi too, let me know what you guys think.
