How much longer should hardworking families have to pay more, struggle harder, and settle for less while Washington keeps promising results that never seem to arrive? That’s the question I kept asking myself before I decided to run for Congress. I’m a mother of four, a wife, and a business owner. I understand what it’s like to balance a family budget, worry about your children’s future, and wonder why the systems we’re paying for aren’t delivering what our communities need. After 18 months of traveling across Illinois’ 1st Congressional District and listening to residents, one thing has become even clearer to me: People aren’t asking for miracles. They’re asking for government to do its job. So what am I offering the people of IL-01? SAFER STREETS. Supporting effective law enforcement, improving public safety, and demanding accountability for programs receiving taxpayer funding. STRONGER READERS. Making literacy a priority, supporting evidence-based education, and ensuring families have transparent information about school performance. AFFORDABLE HOMES. Addressing barriers to homeownership, examining the impact of rising property taxes, and supporting policies that expand economic opportunity. RECEIPTS FOR TAXPAYERS. Bringing greater transparency and oversight to federal spending so residents can see where their money goes and what results it produces. I’m also committed to listening to constituents, helping residents navigate federal agencies, and maintaining an accessible congressional office. I’m not promising that Congress can solve every problem. I’m promising to ask the hard questions, challenge wasteful spending, and be honest about what government can actually deliver.
