I'm so horrified for my Black trans sisters and siblings. Is2g this is happening weekly. Wtf are we even supposed to do? I'm feeling murderous. Something needs to change.
La'Daijah Walters was found murdered this morning, June 22, 2026, in Mobile, AL. She was shot. Not a lot of information is available yet, but the Black Butterfly Collective and the TAKE Resource Center have been notifying people in the local LGBTQ+ community there. (So please send them some love and give them some support!)
RIP La'Daijah. I hope they catch the person who did this, and that your family, community, and many friends get the support they need to get justice for you.

Désolée mais je pense que dépenser de l’argent pour rendre la vie impossible aux SDF plutôt que pour les aider c’est le symbole parfait d’un système dépourvu d’humanité

This is horrific. Please know the US carceral systems does this ALL THE TIME, intentionally making it difficult for people's families and supporters to reach them.
For weeks, the activist disappeared from all tracking systems. The best Muhammad’s supporters could ascertain by early April was that they had been transferred to a “confidential location.” Late that month, Muhammad was able to get a letter out to their partner from Kirkland Correctional Institute, in South Carolina, an intake facility 3,000 thousand miles from Oregon — or, as their attorney, Lauren Regan puts it, “as far away from me as possible.”

A Congolese man has been murdered by police in Ireland, with a knee to his neck and face.
This sort of police violence tragically isn’t exclusive to the USA, it’s something Black and other marginalized folks experience every day all around the world.

Not enough people are talking about that at Trump's directive, TN Republicans are starting a special session today to gerrymander the state's only Black majority district — Memphis — out of existence.

In 4 years I have lost:
- my right to an abortion
- my ability to obtain financial aid to pay for a degree
- my right to clean air and water
- my right to safe food free of forever chemicals
- my right to be represented in Congress as a taxpaying citizen through the VRA
I hate this country.
