🚨 BRITISH BACKPACKER AVOIDS IMMEDIATE JAIL AFTER TORTURING DOG FAITH TO DEATH IN AUSTRALIA Bradley Gavin Knoesen, 31, repeatedly submerged one-year-old kelpie Faith underwater before bludgeoning her to death with a glass bottle. After killing her, he tied her body to his motorbike and dragged her through bushland near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The court heard Knoesen had consumed an “extreme amount of alcohol” before repeatedly forcing Faith underwater. She lost consciousness and was briefly revived before he struck her with the bottle. His cousin begged him to stop and wept uncontrollably as Knoesen repeatedly invited him to join in. Prosecutors said Knoesen wanted Faith’s owner to see what had happened to their “precious dog”. Magistrate Donna Webb described the prolonged cruelty as torture “beyond comprehension”, saying Knoesen appeared determined to kill Faith. She rejected intoxication as an explanation for his actions. Despite prosecutors pushing for immediate imprisonment, Knoesen received a 12-month suspended jail sentence at Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court. He had been in custody since the attack on September 23. His lawyer said he was likely to be deported from Australia, where he had worked as an underground truck driver. His defence described him as a “dog lover” and claimed the violence was out of character. Police prosecutor Amy Southall disagreed, describing his actions as “gratuitous and unnecessary”. Faith was just one year old. Source UK Database.
