Barely a kilometer away on an adjoining hilltop is Kfar Shaul, an Israeli community that includes a mental health hospital well-known for first diagnosing the so-called “Jerusalem syndrome,” whereby awestruck tourists temporarily believe themselves to be Biblical figures. Kfar Shaul was built atop the ruins of the Palestinian village of Deir Yassin, site of the most infamous massacre of the 1948 Nakba. Statements like "I am working class before I am queer" is considered harmful bcs it’s fracturing solidarity. If a person is both working-class & queer, their hardships do not exist in two separate boxes. They don't experience classism on Mondays and homophobia on Tuesdays.

i think as you watch more films, you’ll realize you have a certain sensibility you gravitate towards, and your intuition will eventually lead you to develop your own taste. this includes how you react to visuals or acting and how a film can resonate with you on a certain wavelength. at least this was my personal experience.
