can i comment my personal take here. i'm not taking beyond you simply as a love story like every other gl because genuinely even with the romantic scenes present all i can think is that this may very potentially be adapted as a story of opportunists with betrayal, deception and scheming, and their romance blooms as a detrimental state of affairs caused by this cycle of (external and internal) distress and dispute for power they are stuck in that eventually leads to attachment even if they're ruining each other as to have the upper hand. it's how i personally read into it like the vibes that the trailer sets/is built on and how the scenes play out, i don't have much substance to judge certainly yet bc i didn't read the novel to see what they can bring out from it but this concept appeals to me very much and i made this edit thinking exactly that. vision from the editor in full

an observation about south african society is how deeply some people still associate whiteness w competence and institutional credibility. there’s an assumption that if a white person is behind a company, an organisation or an idea, it must automatically be more efficient or more likely to succeed. i think this also helps explain the persistence of apartheid nostalgia and historical revisionism.

Exactly one year ago, the first episode of the pioneering Thai lesbian horror series #RunawayTheSeries aired. Happy first anniversary, Runaway! You will always be loved by me 💗
