I’m reliably told Peter Theil did a meeting in DC with actual evangelicals and his sexual ethic was off limits, so the evangelicals chose not to engage. But the Christian nationalists have no problem with it. It’s like Queers for Palestine on the Right.

My @TGC article on third-wayism, published in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, has aged well.

This is the correct take.
If David French, Russell Moore, and Tim Keller had attended a George Soros lecture at a Unitarian church, William Wolfe would be tweeting about it 10 times a day for the next eight weeks.
Equal weights and measures.

This is what happens when the right installs their thought leaders off of some “based” tweets and rhetoric and doesn’t demand they compete in primaries.
You get immoral and unethical frauds.
This ass was handed the OH GOP gubernatorial nomination for being the Trump plant in the primary to box out DeSantis from being able to spar Trump directly. I hope everyone is happy.
And I hope Vivek has learned some hard lessons- all the “based” bros who elevated him to play block for Trump, have already thrown him far under the bus.
Anyone who elevated this dumbass is disqualified, in my mind, from anything serious.
🚨 VILE: Vivek Ramaswamy’s new attack ad against Amy Acton features her estranged mother, who stayed married to the man who sexually abused her daughter at age 12, even after his arrest.
Now even conservatives are calling the ad disgusting.

The President deserves no blame for Paxton in Texas. Had Cornyn not run again, Paxton would have most likely been the nominee. But in NC, OH, and several other states, the President put his thumb on the scale for candidates who are not that good. This is the second time for NC
This was stated much better than I could state it. I absolutely agree with it.
I'm seeing a lot of criticism here, but this is a great example of an 80/20 issue. When it comes to how we view horror or how we approach Halloween, of all the people who get it wrong, I'd say 20% are too legalistic and paranoid about things. 80%, however, are people who are indeed reveling in evil and turning their eyes to worthless things.
There are some horror films, for example, that depict evil honestly and that glorify God. And sure, there are some people who are too entrenched in legalism to recognize this. However, the vast majority of horror films celebrate evil. And overwhelmingly, that's why people watch them.
So, while I think Allie's erring a bit on the legalistic side here, I also don't think people should write off the good parts of her point. If you're listening to endless murder podcasts or watching depictions of gore constantly, you are probably not doing it for good reasons and it's probably not good for you.

This is pure spiritual manipulation.
"Don't listen to me, listen to God"... followed by 20 minutes of telling you God wants your savings, stocks, and a 2-year pledge card that's a "covenant with God."

I think if Allie separated "horror" and "scary" a bit more she'd have a pretty accurate point.

What is being done to Elisabeth Elliott post-mortem is part of a larger trend/movement to revise the biographies of famous Christians to make them gay. It's been attempted with Jonathan and David (they weren't just friends), with Calvin, Theodore Beza, and Machen among others. I've responded to two of these cases. See the next post.
Notice that Stell is described as a historian. This is an appeal to authority. This is one move. The fact that Stell is a historian means little. Historians get things wrong regularly. They make mistakes and sometimes they just misrepresent things.
Another move is to string together otherwise innocent statements or events and to re-contextualize and sexualize them. Ambiguity is key to this type of revisionism. Statements that weren't originally understood to refer to latent homosexual desire are re-interpreted/re-framed to be sexual in nature. Anyone who objects is denounced as naive or a prude.
In the current case the agenda seems rather obvious when Elliott's biographer asks why anyone should care that she allegedly had Lesbian inclinations or affairs? Why? Those of us who read or listened to Elliott know that she's being accused of gross sin and hypocrisy. Unlike her biographer, apparently, we know what God's Word says about male and female homosexuality and we agree with Scripture. These are effectively post-mortem charges that cannot be properly tried.
This is tabloid stuff at best. A professionally run secular newspaper wouldn't run this sort of story. The evidence is less than thin. That CT ran this story at all says much more about them than it does about Elliott.

Did you know if a program is TVG they can still show whatever commercials they want?
So if I'm watching Morning Footy at 9am on @CBSSportsGolazo with my 8 yr old son, they can show a naked woman selling sports gambling in the breaks.
