At Abundant Mines, we believe our clients should decide how their miners participate in the Bitcoin network’s search for consensus, and they have the right to direct their energy to what they believe is right for Bitcoin. Clients hosting with us can now choose to signal BIP-110 through our DATUM signaling node, or continue mining as they do today. Your miners. Your hashrate. Your choice.

We should only make changes to Bitcoin that are necessary. Otherwise its rules and policies become unpredictable and unreliable, and those characteristics are exactly what makes it different from central bank currencies.

My take on the spam debate: Miners ought not mine non-monetary transactions Users ought to discourage miners from mining non-monetary transactions. This is about ought-to-dos, not can dos or can’t stops. You can dump garbage anywhere, but you don’t, and you don’t facilitate other people doing it. Simple stuff.

I'll admit it: I got a little scared when Bitcoin rocketed to $123K a couple of weeks ago. For a second I worried that the folks at Jane Street had lost control... That the lid was blowing clear off the pressure cooker. But they've done a Yeoman's job at getting this thing back under control. The bears have re-emerged to once again embarrass themselves (will they ever learn?) Unfortunately for them, the pro's are in charge. And Larry wants $700K. But more importantly... Summer is fleeting. It's August 3rd. You have a couple months left of summer 2025 before it's gone forever. One of the few remaining summers of the pre-AGI era is slipping away. Every sunset brings us one day closer to fall. This is not a time to be glued to the charts. This is a time for trail runs, open ocean swims, and making the freshest ratatouille you've ever tasted. It's a time for generating barbaric levels of Vitamin D and syncing with the rhythms of the earth. You need to be laying on the sand absorbing the energy from the sun and the earth. You need to be wireless charging yourself like an iPhone. Soaking up trace minerals from the sea like a sponge. This is Bitcoin summer. Enjoy it, don't force things, soak it in. Because winter will return. It always does. Make your plan. Stick to your plan. And pack your days full of beautiful moments.

Luna, BlockFi, Celsius and FTX crashed and burned because of leverage and paper Bitcoin. I see a lot of similar things going on this bullrun. Make sure you never trust third parties with your Bitcoin. Use cold storage.

A Big Mac doesn't cost $3.99, it costs your health. Netflix doesn't cost $17.99, it costs your time. Social media isn't free, it costs your focus. There is always a hidden cost.

This is the exact protocol I use to backup my data without relying on third party or some black box software. (If you're not backing up your data, this post is for you.) 👇 LONGFORM 👇 I've been using this protocol with minor changes and improvements over 1 year. I believe that everybody should backup their data, no matter how unimportant they may seem at the moment. Before starting, please RT this post or share it with your friends. It helps to spread the message. WHAT DATA DO I BACKUP? How to not forget anything? Easy. Make a reocurent To-Do task or calendar appointment and write everything in it. For me, it is: - Files which are already in my Laptop (Home folder) & Phone (All files accessible from Files app) - Emails (export them from your Account) - Chats (export them from your Messengers) - Contacts (export them too) - Website From time to time, I also backup my X archive. It contains all my posts, but no bookmarks, so keep this in mind. When you've got all data prepared, we can move to the next step. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BACKUP? As a rule of thumb, you should backup your data once a week. This is what I do: Every Saturday I run Bleachbit on my Linux Laptop, delete useless files and backup my data. I also backup my data when I finish some important milestone in my work, which I would rather not repeat doing. E. g. new website, finish editing video etc... WHICH STORAGE MEDIA SHOULD I USE? When backing up data, you should always follow the 3-2-1 rule. This means: 3 Copies of your data 2 Types of media storage 1 Copy of your data off-site I use same storage media for both my laptop and phone. I have one SSD always on site. If my computer or phone stops working, I can quickly get a new device and get all the data to it, if the data on my old device got corrupted. Then I have one SD Card in remote location, but close enough so I can retrieve it in case of fire, flood, burglary or other misfortune at my place. Last but not least, Cloud Storage. I know there are some amongst you who are not biggest fans of this, but I believe Cloud Storage is perfect tool for this usecase. If you need to leave your country in a hurry or just cross border and you can't take take your data with you, Cloud Storage comes in play. I also have some other backups, so I have 3+ copies of my data. HOW TO ENCRYPT THE DATA? What you probably never want to do is backup your data as plain files. ALWAYS USE ENCRYPTION FOR SENSITIVE INFORMATION. Especially if you're uploading them to Cloud Storage, even if it claims that it's "private". For encryption, I use VeraCrypt. For both my laptop and phone. VeraCrypt allows you to create encrypted containers, where you can then store files and folders. There are many upsides to using VeraCrypt over other software. First, it's open source. This means anybody can check or alter the code. And if VeraCrypt developers decide to stop working on the project, anybody can continue on with maintaining it. Then great encryption, hidden storage option and many others. WHAT TOOL SHOULD I USE TO BACKUP THE DATA? Now comes the last part - actually backing the data up. For laptop (Linux) I use Back in Time. Easy as that. For phone (GrapheneOS) I just drag the files from phone to the VeraCrypt container. Takes some time, but nothing too hard. That's it for today. If you have any questions, leave a comment. Stay Private. Not only Online. Marconius Solidus

Most people will die without ever understanding what money is. They will wake to alarms they didn't set, in homes they don’t own, to work jobs they resent, to earn a currency they don’t question. They will trade their hours for digits, their passions for paychecks, their youth for yield. And they will do it smiling because everyone else is smiling, too. Because the system rewards silence and punishes awareness. They will spend 50 years earning, spending, borrowing, saving... Never once stopping to ask: What is this thing I’m giving my life for? What is this paper? This number in a bank? Why can it be printed? Why does it rot in silence? Why does it feel like I’m always behind, even when I’m doing everything right? They will retire with a number in their head, a balance sheet of sacrifices, only to watch inflation erase it like chalk in the rain. They will die not poor, but unquestioning. Bitcoin is not an investment. It is a mirror held up to the lie. It’s the first time you ask: What have I been enslaved by? And maybe, just maybe... It’s your only chance to walk out of Plato’s cave... Before the shadow puppets demand your soul in monthly installments.

Summer is upon us. And I've returned to my little French island. When I was here last year, BTC was hovering around $55K. And my son wasn't even walking yet. I remember sitting at a cafe surrounded by my fellow europoor bon vivants, thinking we'd be over $100K by next year. And here we are. Bitcoin is $107K as Stack Jr. enthusiastically strolls the quay, befriending everyone he passes. The Pi Cycle Indicator, which measures short-term exuberance, is at a mere 37th percentile. There's little to no froth in the Bitcoin market. Just tireless stacking by corporates, sovereigns, and individuals as whale sellers slowly exhaust themselves. So what's my prediction for one year from now? I have a few: - BTC will be over $150K - The neat "4 year cycle" will be broken - "I'm a buyer at $3K" Bitcoin permabears will be in absolute disarray. - I will increase my personal and corporate holdings of spot BTC by creating value for many. - Stack Jr. will be running around while #2 experiences their first summer on [redacted]. - I will do strenuous activity in nature, build useful things for others, provide for my family, curate my thoughts, stay grateful for each day on this beautiful planet... And grow closer to God each day as a result. Many of you will do exactly the same. Which is why Bitcoiners will continue to win while the rest of the world does whatever it does. We create value, stack sats, and enjoy life. It's just as my little island reminds me each time I hop off the ferry from the continent: La vie simple est la plus belle.
