JUSTICE DEPT. CHARGES JAMES COMEY, EX-FBI DIRECTOR, FOR A THIRD TIME The Justice Department has again charged James B. Comey, the third time the Trump administration has mounted a criminal case against the former FBI director — a prominent political foe of the president — since last year. This time, federal prosecutors charged Comey with two counts alleging that he leaked sensitive government material to the media in 2016 when he was FBI director. Comey was fired by President Donald Trump the following year. He has since become a staunch critic of Trump and the Justice Department’s actions during his second term. I've been adding to my $ASTS position during this drawdown because rising yields don't change how early we are in building a much larger space economy where satellites become another layer of global telecom infrastructure. AST already has carrier partnerships giving it access to ~3B potential subscribers and those carriers have every reason to support an alternative to Starlink rather than depend entirely on $SPCX for direct-to-phone connectivity. The biggest challenge now is scaling to ~45 satellites and turning those partnerships into paying users but with the stock already in a ~70% drawdown I do think a lot of that production and launch risk is being reflected in valuation.

🚨Steve Cohen’s biggest stock is no longer $NVDA It’s $CRDO !! Why Cohen’s book flipped: Point72 cut $NVDA 94%. Credo took the #1 spot at $1.67B And for the right reasons Here’s why 👇 Every AI data center has the same ‘hidden’ problem: > GPUs are fast. Moving data between them is slow, hot, and fragile > 100K-GPU cluster is worthless if the chips can’t talk to each other. Credo does the job And it’s one of only three companies that connects data at every distance: 🟣 COPPER (inside the rack) Active Electrical Cables, the famous purple cables. Copper with a Credo chip inside that cleans the signal. Cheaper, cooler and more reliable than optics over short runs. 🔵 OPTICS (rack to rack, row to row) Optical DSPs, ZeroFlap optical modules and silicon photonics, boosted by the DustPhotonics acquisition. ⚪ CHIP-TO-CHIP (inside the server) SerDes IP plus PCIe and Ethernet retimers that keep signals clean as speeds jump from 800G to 1.6T The numbers: • FY26 revenue: $1.3B (+206% YoY) • Q1 FY27: $479M (+115% YoY) • Non-GAAP gross margin: 68% • Q2 guide: $525–535M • Optical revenue target: >$600M this fiscal year, with 3 optical product lines each >> $100M

TRUMP SAYS IF THE FED DOESN'T CUT RATES, HE'LL STOP TRADING WITH SOME NATIONS U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said that unless the Federal Reserve cut interest rates, he would stop trading with countries with which the United States had a deficit. "High interest rates put the U.S.A. at a very unfair disadvantage, and I won't allow that to happen!" said Trump, who has repeatedly demanded that the Fed cut rates. FDA CRACKS DOWN ON COMPOUNDED GLP-1s The FDA is warning telehealth firms and compounders over unapproved weight-loss drugs including semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide. $HIMS The agency says retatrutide and cagrilintide cannot legally be used in compounding, and has already warned companies marketing unapproved retatrutide directly to consumers. As of May 31, the FDA had received 990 adverse-event reports tied to compounded semaglutide and more than 730 tied to compounded tirzepatide. The FDA is also flagging dosing errors, fraudulent labels, improper refrigeration during shipping and questionable foreign-made ingredients, while reiterating that compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved or reviewed for safety, effectiveness or quality before being marketed.

Two big trades I’m looking to add size on: $LLY over $1,230. As long as we continue to see clear strength in healthcare names, I think this can run to $1,270, then $1,300+. $ARM over $300. Incredible move last week, but it was short lived. $300 is a massive psychological level, so the next time it pops through that, I think we can see $330-340 in the same week.

FRENCH STAR MBAPPÉ LEADS WORLD CUP SCORING CHARTS AHEAD OF FINAL The top of the 2026 World Cup scoring table was claimed by Kylian Mbappé following his ninth goal of the competition, which was struck against England early in the second half from inside the penalty area. Second position is occupied by Lionel Messi with eight goals. Participation in the final remains for Messi, while Mbappé’s involvement in the tournament has ended. The all-time World Cup goal-scoring record was also taken by Mbappé, who now has 22 goals in 22 games against Messi’s 21 in 33. The final between Spain and Argentina is set to be contested later today.

BofA: At first glance, the May NFP report showed signs of early hiring. However, with the June data and revisions to May now in hand, the evidence looks far less compelling. Averaging May and June, payroll gains across NFP leisure & hospitality, local government non-education (security, logistics etc.), ADP and Revelio Labs leisure & hospitality show little-to-no discernible World Cup hiring effect. The most likely explanation is that firms met much of the extra demand through overtime (not reflected in payrolls) rather than new hiring. Some event-related work may also have been performed by independent contractors, particularly in security and logistics, who are not captured by the Establishment Survey. Finally, World Cup visitors may have displaced regular tourists, offsetting part of the boost to local employment.
As a side note, ADP's Nela Richardson nailed this on Surveillance Thursday morning ahead of the NFP with @lisaabramowicz1, @FerroTV, and @annmarie. Ann Marie asked: "Are we going to see the World Cup boost today?" Nela: "Unfortunately, I think we saw it in May."

Goldman: We earlier identified four key macro developments that signaled potential bubble issues in the late 1990s, most of which appeared from 1998 onward: sustained investment at unusually high levels; a decline in profit margins in the macro data; a sharp rise in corporate financing needs and leverage; and a widening current account deficit. As of late 2025, those dynamics were largely absent in the AI boom. Since then, only the first of these has changed meaningfully. Over the last six months, the investment boom has accelerated. Tech investment as a percentage of GDP has breached the 1990 highs and has risen more sharply than it did then (Exhibit 1). Capex expectations from the hyperscalers for 2026 are now nearly 80% higher than they were 6 months ago. AI-related investment is on track to approach the peak level of the 1990s tech investment boom within the next couple of years and could exceed it. The AI investment boom is neither as broad-based nor as long-lived as the 1990s tech boom yet (Exhibit 3), but it is matching its scale (Exhibit 4).

"BIG SHORT" INVESTOR STEVE EISMAN SAYS ELON MUSK IS GOING TO MERGE SPACEX AND TESLA INTO ONE GIANT COMPANY He thinks it's only a matter of time. Here's how he sees it playing out: "I'm expecting that he's gonna use the stock price of SpaceX to buy Tesla... one giant company called X. I wouldn't doubt it." On why Tesla $TSLA is the weak link: "The EV business is just not that great of a business. It's capital intensive, highly competitive. China produces EVs much cheaper than Tesla does." The kicker: Eisman says if he were a SpaceX shareholder, this merger would be "the last thing in the world" he'd want.

$MRVL Marvell Technology: Architect of the AI Connectivity Backbone. Investment Thesis. Marvell Technology has completed a strategic transformation that few legacy semiconductor companies execute cleanly. The pivot away from traditional networking and storage semiconductors toward custom silicon and high-speed connectivity for AI data center infrastructure is not a repositioning in progress — it's largely done, and the financial trajectory is beginning to reflect it. The Celestial AI acquisition extends that positioning into optical interconnects and photonic fabrics, addressing the next layer of AI infrastructure bottleneck where copper interconnects hit physical limits at scale. The hyperscaler demand dynamic is the engine behind the revenue ramp thesis. Custom ASIC design wins with major cloud providers represent a different category of customer relationship than merchant silicon sales — they create deep technical integration, long program lifecycles, and switching costs that are measured in years of co-development rather than procurement cycles. That stickiness is a genuine competitive moat, but it also concentrates revenue in ways that make the business sensitive to program-level decisions at a small number of accounts. Matthew Murphy's leadership has been the consistent thread through the transformation. The strategic decisions — which legacy businesses to exit, which adjacencies to pursue, which acquisitions to make — reflect a coherent vision that has been executed with unusual discipline for a company managing simultaneous portfolio transitions. That track record matters when evaluating whether the optical interconnect bet will be executed with similar precision. Technical execution at advanced nodes is the capability risk that the strategic narrative doesn't eliminate. Custom silicon at leading-edge process nodes requires sustained investment in design talent, EDA infrastructure, and customer co-development resources. The competitive environment for that talent — against hyperscalers building internal silicon teams and peers targeting the same design win opportunities — is intensifying, which adds cost pressure alongside the execution complexity. The valuation is the honest tension in the thesis. Marvell is priced as a confirmed AI infrastructure compounder, and the revenue ramp forecasts embedded in the current multiple require hyperscaler demand to remain elevated, program ramps to execute on schedule, and optical interconnect adoption to accelerate at the pace the Celestial AI acquisition assumes. Each of those is plausible individually — together, they represent a high bar that leaves the stock exposed to any single point of execution friction. The strategic positioning is among the strongest in the AI semiconductor supply chain; the question is how much of that quality is already in the price.

NVIDIA $NVDA INVESTED $5 BILLION IN INTEL IN 2025. THAT STAKE IS NOW WORTH OVER $25 BILLION. So they're doing more of it. NVIDIA has committed $40B to AI equity deals in 2026 YTD. That is 2.3x what they put into private companies all of last fiscal year. OpenAI alone got $30B. Photonics, neoclouds, and data centers split the rest.
