Every carbohydrate on the government's plate is sugar in a costume, and your blood cannot read labels. Bread is sugar wearing a crust. Pasta is sugar wearing a sauce. Rice is sugar wearing a grain. A jacket potato is sugar wearing a jacket. Cornflakes are sugar wearing a cardboard box with a cockerel on it. Wholemeal bread is sugar wearing a jumper. Porridge is sugar wearing a Scottish accent. Granola is sugar wearing a lanyard. A smoothie is sugar wearing gym kit. Rice cakes are sugar wearing a diet. Every one of them is a chain of glucose molecules holding hands, and the moment it hits your gut the chain lets go. By the time it reaches your blood there is no crust, no jumper and no lanyard. There is glucose, and the pancreas does not ask where it came from. The costume is for you. The sugar is for your bloodstream.

The nerve of this bitch. Electricity has gone up 46% under her watch. Gas taxes are up 67%. The state budget has increased 50% (with no underlying financial support). MAGA did not create this train wreck. Democrats did.
No more rubber stamps for the MAGA Republican agenda which is our raising costs. This November, we’re going to send fighters for working families to Lansing and D.C.

They took memory cards from us and made us pay for storage. They took CDs and DVDs and made us pay for streaming. They took software you could buy once and turned it into a monthly subscription. They took ownership, convenience, and basically everything that used to be a one-time purchase… then somehow made us pay for it every month.

Small lips, undefined eyebrows, no exaggerated cheekbones, a smile without veneers or teeth that look like they've been washed with dish soap, no false eyelashes, natural hair color. Let's go back to basics.

- You: "My stocks went up 10%." - Government: "Congratulations! That's taxable." - You: "But inflation was 8%. I only really gained 2%." - Government: "We tax the full 10%." - You: "You tax the inflation you created?" - Government: "Capital gains are capital gains." - You: "So you profit from debasing my money twice?" - Government: "You're not an economist."

There should be 13 months w 28 days in each month. Each month would have 4 weeks that start with Monday and end with Sunday. Sept is 7, Oct is 8, Nov is 9 Dec is 10 11 should be Jan 12 Feb 13 March New years should be the spring when the life returns. April fools is New Year’s Day and the joke is we are the fools for thinking it’s the dead of winter Whoever fucked up the calendar is an asshole. I would just live my life the right way but the whole point of calendars is to communicate with others so it would be pointless. It’s crazy that this just happened

Dear @PGATOUR Today Marcus Plunkett, who defended our country for 5 years after graduating from West Pointe, including a 6-month deployment to Afghinistan qualified for the Open Championship. Austen Truslow did too, he's been a pro for 11 years had KFT status in 2020 and a freak run of bad luck ended his season and his time on KFT. Both played the Asian Tour this year. They also both played in LIV Q-school. Not because they love LIV or hate the PGA Tour, they just wanted a place to play. Neither got thru LIV Q-school, neither has ever played a LIV event. But because they went to Q-school they have been suspended for a calendar year despite not being a member. Now neither can go to PGA Tour Q-school. I understand why you have something in place for members that left, and yes they knew this was a possiblity, I just ask that you reconsider. All they ask is a chance to play Q-school at the end of this year. Again, they just want a place to play. Thanks for your consideration.

We tax cigarettes to reduce smoking. We tax alcohol to reduce drinking. We tax fuel to reduce driving. What do you think happens when you tax employing people and running a business?

This is completely true and I wish I had not waited so long to have children. It’s a tragedy. My mother will be 80 when my son is 18. Besides that the longer you wait the less time you have with your own children yourself. There is this assumption that you will live to old age.
We are witnessing the end of grandparents as we know them. Children in the 1970s & 80s knew their grandparents as capable middle-aged adults in their 40s and 50s. Children in the very near future will only know their grandparents as elderly geriatrics, if at all.

The DINK lifestyle doesn't end with a tragedy. It ends with a quiet closing. The last of a line. A nursing home. A small funeral. No children. Every civilization that chose comfort over children said goodbye the same way. We're next, unless we choose differently.

Two glasses of wine. Didn't get drunk. Couldn't function for three days. This is being celebrated as self-awareness. A healthy 33-year-old body should metabolize two glasses of wine and recover by morning. Billions of people throughout history did exactly that while building civilizations, fighting wars, and running companies. Bartlett has restricted his inputs so aggressively that a single normal human experience sent his entire system into a 72-hour reboot. Engineers call this brittleness. A system optimized exclusively for peak performance under ideal conditions that shatters the moment conditions change. The opposite of antifragile. Remove every stressor for long enough and your body loses the ability to absorb even minor ones. The generation that tracks every HRV reading, weighs every macro, and sleeps in temperature-controlled darkness has accidentally built the most fragile humans in history. Previous generations drank, ate badly, slept rough, and still recovered because constant low-level stress kept their systems adaptable. Two glasses of wine registered as a catastrophic shock because he's spent three years stripping every form of variance from his life. A body that can only perform under perfect conditions is the definition of a fragile system.
Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

this is shocking: > US collects $2.4T in income tax, but spends $1.5T on fraud > if we didn't have to pay for fraud, only $900b would need to be collected > this means anyone with less 500k in income could pay *literally $0* in income tax we don't need to raise taxes. we need to cut fraud
If you cut $1.5 trillion in fraud you could exempt all income tax up to $200,000 🤯

Elon Musk @elonmusk on how to manage companies better: “Spend less time on finance, spend less time in conference rooms, less time on PowerPoint, and more time just trying to make your product as amazing as possible. I think there might be too many MBAs running companies. There's the MBA-saition of America, which I think is maybe not that great. There should be more focus on the product, the service itself, less time on board meetings, less time on financials.”
