French President Emmanuel Macron pulls off what could be the greatest diplomatic troll of all time by getting Trump to sign the "$300 Billion US Surrender to Iran" deal in... Versailles. The ignoramus Trump will have been clueless as to the historical significance of the location

On June 19, 1865, African American communities in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom from slavery — two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation took effect. For 161 years, Juneteenth has been a day of remembrance for the freedom that was delayed. It is also a celebration of the joy and resilience that flourished despite that delay. The contributions of African Americans, whose struggle for freedom shaped our nation, are immeasurable. Yet too many Black families continue to bear the brunt of an affordability crisis that has pushed them out of the neighborhoods and communities they've built. True freedom has a tangible impact on daily life: the ability to afford housing, earn a living wage, put food on the table, support a family, and create a future for generations to come. As we celebrate today, we must recommit ourselves to ensuring this freedom is fully realized. Happy Juneteenth, New York City.

Former first lady Michelle Obama delivered an emotional tribute to her husband, former President Barack Obama, during the Obama Presidential Center's grand opening ceremony in Chicago Thursday. "You told me all those years ago that you couldn't promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life," she said, "and of course you outdid yourself and managed to give me both."

She is linking to an article showing only MAGA Republicans support the war, and then claiming ‘Americans agree’ with it. Her own link shows her to be a liar. She’s a proud and open liar. Reporters should treat her as such.
Americans Agree that Operation Epic Fury Is an Overwhelming Success whitehouse.gov/articles/2026…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The White House’s polls mentioned in the link only refers to MAGA Republicans or Republicans being in favor of the war, not the broader American public. This excludes Democrats and Independents being polled which skews the data and misrepresents America’s views as a whole. whitehouse.gov/articles/2026/…

The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain. Our response then must be our response now: NO to violations of international law. NO to the illusion that we can solve the world’s problems with bombs. NO to repeating the mistakes of the past. NO TO WAR. lamoncloa.gob.es/presidente/…

We are going to have to fight if this comes to pass. This would be a direct effort to steal the election and impose permanent Republican rule.
Washington Post: Trump, seeking executive power over elections, is urged to declare emergency Activists who say they are in coordination with the White House are circulating a draft executive order that would unlock extraordinary presidential power over voting.

Congress didn't authorize this. International law prohibits it. And literally 80% of Americans didn't want it. None of that matters.

Everyone who thinks seriously about war understood *exactly* what this would look like. It's just that the people who started the war didn't think seriously. lnk.thebulwark.com/4s6SDrB
