Every winter in Scotland there is generally at least one case of a group of Southern pedestrians wearing flip flops and t-shirts, being rescued from an icy Highland peak by the local volunteer mountain rescue team and RAF. Social and mainstream media is flooded with calls for such people to be fined or to have to pay for the rescues, and lambasting them for being so irresponsible.
Just imagine the outrage in the media if it was illegal immigrants who were deliberately setting out, ill-equipped, on a dangerous journey, putting their lives and those of volunteer rescue teams in danger, and not only being rescued, but being welcomed by teams of liberals from State-approved charities and rewarded with lots of taxpayer-funded goodies.
Furthermore, just imagine the outrage if it appeared that our own government (and, very possibly, a foreign government) were coordinating the whole thing.
And it was going on day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, regardless of what government was elected.
Oh, wait.

I have been almost a lone voice warning about this. Itās not about ādefenceā - they want more money for forever wars and so they are seeding the idea- through Inside the Tent stenographers and āthink tanksā -that the current level of state pension provision is unsustainable. The anti-state pension propaganda has been relentless & that tells you it is a co-ordinated campaign. Unless we start to speak out a lot more loudly about it and start protesting then we will be lucky to have any state pension at all in a few years time.

Online digital verification is merely one tiny cog in a massive machine. Very soon, they will dangle a 'convenient' new token to verify you are over 16, and it will slip seamlessly into that digital wallet right alongside the rest of your life.
Everyone needs to understand; the 'Digital ID' we are telling you to reject is absolutely not just a digital version of your identity. It is a trackable permission slip for access to life itself. If you do not see that this infrastructure is a warp speed trajectory straight into an invisible digital cage, you are voluntarily walking into your own trap.

This is EXACTLY what I predicted when the U16s ban was proposed.
They wrote vague rules SPECIFICALLY so that the tech companies couldn't hit the target, and stricter enforcement action would be 'required'.
This is not a bug, its a feature.
The aim is to have these companies dancing to the regulator's tune and always afraid of a 'review', so that they will never stand up for their user's privacy, freedom of speech, or rights.
This is a soft form of fascism, the state merging with corporations... not through ownership, but through control.

New research claims human emissions are not driving atmospheric CO2.
A paper by Dai Ato ran multiple linear regressions for 1959 to 2022, testing two predictors of the annual CO2 increase: sea surface temperature and human emissions.
The result was clear, when the oceans warmed, CO2 levels rose almost exactly in step: about two to three ppm for every 1C of warming.
Adding human emissions to the model didn't change the outcome.
Using only ocean temperature, the model reproduced global CO2 levels with near-perfect accuracy, a correlation of 0.995 and an error of just one to two ppm by 2022.
The main factor governing the annual increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration is sea surface temperature rather than human emissions.
Earlier studies have shown the same pattern.
Temperature changes first, CO2 follows.
If Ato is correct, cutting human emissions won't lower atmospheric CO2 because it's the oceans that set the pace.
