There is something seriously wrong at the BBC. This is the headline they used for a Muslim peace activist who was murdered by an Islamist group for preaching against radicalism.

The Washington Post reveals that World Trade Center security executive Rick Rescorla rescued nearly 2,700 people during the September 11 attacks before dying in the attacks. He is certainly the hero of the day, as hundreds of survivors step forward to corroborate that he continuously went back into the building to pull more people out.

Greatest to ever do it and a massive reason why I grew up loving basketball. Can’t see the show going on without him and it shouldn’t. I know they’ve been talking about retiring for a while but hard not to notice how quick this happened after the ESPN move.
It’s time. 🤟🤟🏾🤟🏻🤟🏽

Bye Week: The late Jim Fassel doesn't get the credit he likely deserves for his time w/ #NYGiants. His 58 wins are 4th most all time for NYG head coaches. He led NYG to 3 playoff seasons, 2 NFC East Titles & 1 Super Bowl. He was mic'ed up in his final NFL win in 2003 vs Jets

"You don’t sign older players to coach the younger players. I have four kids. I’m not letting a 14-year-old raise a six-year-old. It’s not happening." - Coach Joe Judge
Bodycam footage shows Florida deputies arresting a mother at an airport after authorities say she left her four children, ages 9, 11, 12 and 14, home alone while traveling to Las Vegas for work. Irene Miller, 50, was taken into custody Friday as she stepped off a plane. Two days earlier, one of her children had called 911 after a dumbbell fell on her 9-year-old brother's head. When deputies arrived at the family's Kissimmee home, they found the children without adult supervision and had the injured boy taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. Miller now faces four counts of child neglect.

My already heavy heart sunk more learning of the passing of a die hard fan Ira Meltzer, a consummate gentlemen, a legend of Section 106, and the patriarch of one of my favorite Giants families. May his memory be a blessing. Here’s his family singing Backstreet Boys last year

I always credit @michaelstrahan for being the blueprint on my overall life but maaaaan, @OsiUmenyiora was HIM my rookie year lol!! I tried to emulate Osi off the field in 2007!
Osi Umenyiora reveals how the Giants exposed “the greatest quarterback ever, supposedly,” Tom Brady, by decoding his snap count before Super Bowl XLII Umenyiora says he noticed Brady pointing at a specific defender before signaling the center to snap the ball. After studying game footage for a week, he became convinced the pattern was consistent and shared his discovery with the entire Giants defense. That preparation gave New York’s defensive line a crucial advantage, helping them sack Brady five times and hit him around 20 times in the upset victory over the previously undefeated Patriots. Umenyiora says the Giants entered the game believing they could win because they had uncovered something their opponents did not know they had figured out.

Abdul Carter is tied with Will Anderson Jr. for 3rd in the NFL in total pass-rush wins, but that hasn't led to an overly impressive pressure rate or sack total. Couple of thoughts on why Carter's still been an impactful pass rusher and the pressures + sacks should come below

Joe Schoen was never on the hot seat
Has there ever been a GM on the hot seat as badly as Joe Schoen was who managed to flex and turn things around like he has? Dude has been in his absolute bag the last two years.

It’s almost like letting people grow on the job instead of immediately firing them as a knee jerk solve, is a good thing.
