Genes from farmed salmon were detected in 2 out of 3 wild salmon populations along the Norwegian coast.
This is yet another example of the harmful impacts fish farms have on wild fish globally. Canada must act to ban open net pen fish farming by 2029.

When you see the variety of fish species available in European fish markets, the stranglehold the salmon farming industry has on UK supermarkets/consumers is obvious.
A new @SeaWestNews article discusses a campaign calling on restaurants to remove farmed salmon from their menus, while questioning what replacing it with wild seafood could mean for conservation.
