Twittodon.com is a tool for verifying the connection between #Mastodon and #Twitter accounts. The goal is to create a publicly available database of such conns to make people's migration to #Fediverse more pleasant by making it easier for them to recreate their networks

#ElonMusk has finally effectively prevented developers from using #Twitter! First he shut down API, and now he has prevented access to tweets and profiles without logging in. He also plans to limit how many tweets can be read per day🤯
This made Twittodon.com not work😕

yeah they did a verification system - i already have 3 verifed checkmarks there.
Oh, there is a service called @twittodon_com , that will help get your Mastodon account verified by prooving that you're the one same guy who ownes both Twitter and Mastodon accounts.
Do you know that starting April 15th, you won't be able to participate in polls if you don't pay for #TwitterBlue? This is one of the first big restriction hitting free users, but it certainly won't be the last. Feel invited to #Mastodon 😉 mastodon.tomaszdunia.pl/@to3…
Two-factor authentication via SMS as a "premium" feature only for Twitter Blue subscribers 😂 SMS is not the best way to use, but still it’s hilarious 😂

How to switch from Twitter to Mastodon and use it on iOS, Android and more | TechRadar techradar.com/how-to/how-to-…
After a brief look at docs I discovered that Nitter seems to be completely independent from Twitter’s API so Twittodon.com should be fine after disabling API free plan by TT 😉 Unlike some other tools which would not work anymore.
After Feb 9, there may be problems with the operation of Twittodon. This is due to the removal of free API access by Twitter by which some instances of Nitter (used as a proxy) may stop working. We will probably overcome it, but now is a good time to join twittodon.com!
In this post I describe how I see #Mastodon and #Fediverse 😁 Get ready for a space journey into Fediverse!

Starting February 9, we will no longer support free access to the Twitter API, both v2 and v1.1. A paid basic tier will be available instead 🧵
And here we have an answer to a question which has been around for last couple of days. “Intentionally blocked API” confirmed ✅ API for competitors of course 😉 It’s not a big, it’s a feature 😁 Especially when the ground burns under your feet 😂 #Tweetbot #API
Twitter is enforcing its long-standing API rules. That may result in some apps not working.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Currently it's all major third party clients not some. Also, it is unknown what long standing rules have been broken as no guidance has been provided to any API partner. And as the tweet notes, these rules have not changed.

If anyone still doubts whether Twitter has cut off access to the #API for third party clients, here is the proof 😉 #Tweetbot

There are many tools which can help you find people you follow on #Twitter which are also on #Mastodon. Most of them use Twitter #API, so they may soon stop working. Twittodon.com does not use the Twitter API, so you don’t have to worry about whether it will be cut off!

We still don't have any news from Twitter.
We are honored that so many of you have chosen us as the way to browse Twitter for the past 12+ years and hope it can continue.
In the meantime, we have been working on something else…

ALT We're hoping to launch Ivory sometime this month. No ads, no algorithm, just a decentralized network of posts from the people you choose to follow. If you love Tweetbot for Twitter, you'll love Ivory for Mastodon.
It seems that smaller third-party players’ apps are still working normally (according to report given by users), so it can’t be a mistake, but rather deliberate action from Twitter Devs (probably by order of Elon...). Twitter cuts off the competition for its official app.
Twitter devs broken #API for third party apps. So Tweetbot and other client don’t work at all… Is Twitter already over? Maybe it’s time to switch to #Mastodon? If you decided to do so I recommend you to connect your account here and on masto with:
