โPalestine is dividing the left!โ
No, itโs defining the Left. Youโre not owning up to the fact that genocide wasn't a red line for you. Genocide is the red line for anyone with a moral and ethical compass.

I can't stress enough how much people need to follow, support and donate to the Sameer Project, its life-saving work must continue:
This is what happens when funding disappears - empty trays, the oven cooled, and the smell of baked bread dissipated. chuffed.org/project/help-us-โฆ
The Sameer Project baker can produce more than 5,000 loaves of bread every day, reaching thousands of people who rely on it as a daily source of food. But what if the ovens cool? Production slows? And families who count on that bread are left wondering where their next meal will come from.
Just $2 provides a bundle of 10 loaves. But if we cannot raise enough to keep the bakery operating, thousands of people will lose one of the few reliable sources of food they have left.
The difference you see in this video is not just an empty bakery. It is the difference between families eating and families going hungry.
Help The Sameer Project keep put bakery operating. Help us keep bread in the hands of those who need it most. Give to our Food and Water link.

Fuck the USA and Fuck Israel. Until they are stopped we cannot pretend there is any peace at all in this world. And to the worst levels of Hell anyone who supports them in any way.

Reminder: Israeli settlers are not civilians. They are armed, violent colonizers who terrorize Palestinians and have no business being on Palestinian land.

Ben Affleckโs mother, Christopher, who just passed away, traveled to Palestine/Israel in 2009, and returned home as an organizer with the Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine.
I donโt see anyone writing about this yet, but an incredible obituary for Ben Affleckโs mom in the Globe today. What a life!

Dear friends and followers,
I want to apologize for being absent from here recently, especially with the renewed U.S. aggression against Iran and the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Lebanon.
I am currently undergoing treatment related to my latest war injury. My main right leg nerve was damaged, and over the past few days I underwent surgery at Ragheb Harb Hospital in my hometown in South Lebanon to remove deeply embedded shrapnel from my thigh. I am now facing a difficult recovery while dealing with neuropathic pain medications and an intensive treatment plan.
Most likely, I will not be able to return to field reporting or resume regular updates for at least another week. I hope the recovery will not take much longer if nerve reconstruction ultimately becomes necessary.
There is another piece of news: I am using this period to launch a new media project from South Lebanon, different in both format and scale from my previous work during last 2 years, both personal work and with FPTV. It will place a deeper focus on the issues facing South Lebanon from multiple perspectives, in several languages, and in collaboration with outstanding friends and colleagues from Lebanon and around the world.
Your constant support, messages, and concern have given me even more reason to continue my work as a journalist documenting the impact of war and reporting on events despite everything my people, and I personally, have endured, including the heavy loss of many loved ones. I will do my best to turn this period away from publishing into an opportunity to build a project that is even more effective at exposing realities on the ground and bringing truth and knowledge to everyone following what is happening on us in this part of the world.
See you again soon, Inshallah.
As usual, Glory to our people, to their resistance and their miraculous steadfastness.
And this is an updated summary about the situation here:

Calling us Houthis is like calling the Iranian people Khomeinis. Wouldn't it be better to call us Yemenis instead of Houthis?
I wish that were the case, because "Houthi" is the title of the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, while the entire population participated in the September 21, 2014 revolution. Therefore, you should call us by our true name: Yemenis or Ansar Allah (Supporters of God).
The name "Houthis" is used by our enemies to belittle us and deny our existence as a state, government, people, and army. Therefore, I hope you will not call us by the name our enemies use for us.

The US no longer seek legal justification for its actions. This is whatโs different from before in Afghanistan and Iraq and beyond --the abandonment of even the performative adherence to international legality signals a crisis of hegemony.
ย
It is precisely within this rupture that Iranโs actions in the Strait of Hormuz must be situated. International law has never been external to power; it has been historically produced through encounters of imperial/powerful states. The so-called โWar on Terror,โ for instance, redefined the temporal and spatial limits of war not through consensus, but through the unilateral capacity of the United States to impose a borderless battlefield.
ย
What we are witnessing now is a partial inversion of that process. Iranโs enforcement of regulatory authority in the Strait is not merely a legal claimโit is a materially grounded practice, enabled by its capacity to project force in a geographically strategic chokepoint. Law here does not precede power; it is articulated through it.
Iranโs position is effective not because it is legally unassailable in the abstract, but because it is backed by the means (force) to enforce a particular interpretation of maritime governance.

A single donation in the last 5 days. Please help to change that:
chuffed.org/project/pleaseheโฆ
Today, we reached the far north of Gaza.
We distributed money to children so they could buy Eid clothes and feel, even for a moment, the joy every child deserves.
But many children are still waiting for us.
We could not cover everyone. Some are still waiting right now, hoping we will return before Eid.
In the last few days, donations have become very weak, and this is making our mission much harder.
Please also remember:
your donations go directly to the local bakery and water station that help us continue supporting displaced families in the camps.
This video shows some of todayโs moments โ smiles that only happened because people chose to care.
Every donation today can help another child wear Eid clothes, help another family receive clean water, and help us continue reaching the people still waiting for support in Remote camps .
