Just the Met behaving like thugs on a power trip, arresting elderly people and threatening anyone that hands them a bottle of water or packet of sweets by refusing to clarify their position. This is obviously legally nonsensical and totally incoherent policing. Astounding that the government are allowing this to continue.
I asked the Met to clarify if this indeed does mean they will arrest anyone passing their granny an Evian and a spokesperson said they were “not going to define the terms we’ve used in our press release beyond their plain English meanings”. The ambiguity is deliberate, I’d guess

FC Augsburg believes it's quite terrible to have 17 other Bundesliga clubs sitting on a bunch of the league's limited supply of points.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

I think millennials are having a factory reset. Nobody wants their career. Nobody wants corporate culture. Nobody wants another fucking productivity app. We just want a little house, some hobbies, financial security and to be left the fuck alone. Apparently that’s radical now.

This is the statement issued by the Met Police about the Defend Our Juries demonstration today. Commander Adam Slonecki, from Scotland Yard, said: “All those intending on coming to this event know that supporting a proscribed organisation is unlawful – they are essentially meeting to purposefully commit a crime.” This is a remarkable contrual of the law and extent of police powers. Surely it cannot be right that someone protesting against the Government’s decision to proscribe an organisation is automatically interpreted by the Met Police as supporting that organisation and is therefore committing an arrest-able offence. This is especially the case when the proscription is being challenged in the courts. I believe the government and parliament made the wrong decision in proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation and I continue to call for its deproscription by the government. If the people turning up today to demonstrate against the proscription of Palestine Action are to be arrested for simply turning up, are we all to be criminalised for suggesting the government got this wrong?

The very idea we must treat Israel as a normal, rational state is now absurd This is a country where over 93% of voters backed far-right to ultra-far-right parties, all committed to continuing the slaughter of Palestinians. A textbook example of a society radicalised by genocide

ARRESTED WITH SARAH HELM'S WORDS A woman has just been arrested outside the US Embassy in London for holding a sign with words mirroring the ones that the National Security Advisor's wife tweeted, and for which @metpoliceuk declared "did not meet the criminal threshold".

Sam Altman owning kidneys is wasteful. Think of all the people out there in need of kidney transplants, and he's just sitting there with 2 of them in his own body.

The 17 states who voted for the illegal blockade to starve Cuba are an extraordinary list of scumbag regimes. Headed of course by US, Israel and Ukraine.
NOW: World majority demands an end to the U.S. blockade on Cuba for the 34th time, in annual UN vote. Vote board:

The police are just about to start arresting peace-loving people of conscience outside the US embassy in London for opposing the proscription of Palestine Action. The farce created by the Labour Party to deflect from their complicity in genocide continues.

Economist (and Nobel laureate) Paul Krugman: “Control of Starlink must, one way or another, be taken away from Elon Musk. It’s a matter of national security: we cannot let private individuals make foreign and defense policy, and it would be totally irresponsible to leave a crucial military asset in the hands of a racist, authoritarian conspiracy theorist.” paulkrugman.substack.com/p/i…

It’s now clear that suppressing Palestinian activism and running cover for Israel’s genocide is worse under Andy Burnham than under Keir Starmer. From banning books, academics, suppressing free speech, to endlessly weaponing antisemitism. Demonstrably worse.

This is how those who facilitate genocide should be met wherever they go and for the rest of their days on this planet. Genocide must be denormalized and its agents called to account. It is bad enough that the UNGA tried to wash the bloody resume of Baerbock. Why was Uppsala University doing the same? #Shame
Activists confronted former German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock at Sweden’s Uppsala University on Monday, accusing her of complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Baerbock was delivering the Dag Hammarskjöld Lecture, jointly hosted by the university and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. Protesters challenged her remarks defending attacks on civilian infrastructure and Germany’s military support for Israel. In October 2024, Baerbock argued that civilian sites could lose their protected status if abused by Hamas. Germany approved €485.1m—about $554m—in arms exports to Israel between October 2023, and May 2025.

On behalf of the free people of #Palestine, I had the honour of presenting @macklemore with a symbolic gift at the end of his electrifying show in London tonight. A small piece of Palestine: olive wood craft, made specially for him, holding two glass tubes. One contains Palestinian soil, representing our roots, steadfastness and sacrifice; the other holds olive leaves, symbolising our enduring hope for peace and justice. Free Palestine. Free all.

Flávio Bolsonaro is not a persecuted political leader; he is under criminal investigation for serious corruption. He should have his visa revoked and return to Brazil to face justice. If Trump doesn’t want criminals to come to the U.S., why allow Bolsonaro entry? We need answers.

I fucking, fucking, FUCKING HATE writing about "antisemitism". I am so motherfucking SICK of it. I hate the word. I hate the rapey, gaslighting way all western institutions are constantly forcing this fake narrative down our throats that opposing genocide and apartheid and crazy wars means you secretly hate some random tiny religious group. Hate it, hate it, HATE it. But I have to keep writing about it, because if you let them control the narrative it just takes over and becomes the consensus reality. So essay after essay after motherfucking essay I find myself writing "Uh no actually it's not a hate crime to say you shouldn't drop military explosives on buildings full of children" like a fucking moron, over and over and over again. These freaks make me fucking sick. I hate the way they're constantly trying to stick their gross, rapey fingers into our minds and convince us we think things we don't think and feel things we don't feel. They never stop. They're like a cloud of gnats on a humid summer day constantly trying to fly into your nose, mouth and eyes. You swat them away and they're back an instant later, swarming, suffocating. Pieces of shit. Fucking disgusting, evil scumbags.
