Australian officials have issued a reminder to shut your car doors after one wombat helped himself to several passenger seats. The notice followed complaints from visitors at a popular picnic area, where the same wombat reportedly kept climbing into parked cars while people unloaded bags or packed up lunch. At first, staff thought they were receiving several calls about one incident. Then they realized the cars were different. The passenger wasn’t. One couple waited nearly an hour before he climbed out. Another visitor said he settled into the seat before she’d even finished putting her things in the boot. Officials asked visitors to keep their doors closed and contact staff if they found an unexpected occupant. After the photos spread online, a park spokesperson clarified the situation. “He hasn’t been abandoned. He lives here. Please stop calling to say someone’s left their wombat in a car.”

A statistic that sounds fake but isn't: Not one single white American man born after 1984 has published a work of literary fiction in The New Yorker. It's not because they stopped writing. It's because The New Yorker has refused to publish them. The publishing industry has blacked out a generation of male writers & then they wonder why boys don't read.
About 70% of publishing professionals are women. Because agents and editors tend to select books they personally relate to, an increasing number of male authors are being sidelined in the publishing industry, resulting in an overwhelming number of female protagonists on our shelves—and a dearth of male ones. No wonder young men are no longer reading.

Everything is prediction, compression, and Kolmogorov complexity. A new book highlights that Ilya Sutskever is a longtime fan of Kolmogorov and Kolmogorov complexity—ideas that appear on the reading list he once gave John Carmack. Many of the most foundational ideas in machine learning came out of the USSR. Vapnik, Chervonenkis, Aizerman, and others developed the core mathematical results of statistical learning theory while the West was largely occupied with perceptrons and subsequent AI winters. Sutskever himself was born in the Soviet Union. Rigorous, math-driven frameworks have consistently outperformed ad-hoc hacks. I’m looking forward to seeing what he produces at his new company—my bet is that it will be groundbreaking.

By the same token, Europe does not have a veto over Russian security.
Putin does not have a veto over European security. Any agreement to end the war must prevent Russia from re-arming and re-attacking. This is why earlier this year, I put forward a paper with core demands towards Moscow, which was discussed by EU Foreign Ministers. This should be the basis for any negotiations. Concessions should be on the aggressor, not on the victim. My press remarks in Warsaw alongside @sikorskiradek and @andrii_sybiha ↓

A nation which has morally degenerated to the point where infant abuse is a protected occupational activity, is so far beyond salvation - it must be written off.
Biological men who induce lactation are entitled to breastfeeding breaks at work. 🤡🤡 That’s what the Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Anna Cody, confirmed at Senate Estimates. If “woman” no longer means a sex, the Commissioner has nothing left to protect. ❌Abolish the position and taxpayers save $400k a year.

Russell Brand takes are like arseholes* Everyone has one* Brand is an arsehole* A narcissist arsehole* He’s going away a long time for having sex with one* If Russell hadn’t had anal sex he’d possibly be a free man - on a good behaviour bond. Not to obfuscate the lack of consent. His betrayal of the Left a noteworthy potential casus-movens. In an age of increasing lawfare, worth noting the current Uk expansion of the dragnet on illicit pornography. Storytime; since everyone seems to have one of those too. I knew a doppelgänger, and I -mean- doppelgänger. Probably modelled his-self a bit on the image-of. Socialised in an all male group on few occasions. Could not sublimate the narcissism. Burnt his mates repeatedly. Sacked. EoS. Moral; you can judge helluva lot of a book by its cover. That’s what discrimination is. The ability to recognise patterns. It’s neurologically programmed into us for self preservation. Unfortunately, some women are equally and instinctively programmed to be drawn - like moths to a flame.

Historically, complainants faced considerable disadvantages arising from corroboration practices, examination of sexual history, assumptions about resistance and scepticism towards delayed reporting. Recent reforms, particularly the Crown Prosecution Service’s Operation Soteria programme, have adopted an explicitly suspect-centric rather than complainant-centric investigative approach. This means greater attention to the accused’s conduct, coercion, opportunity and surrounding circumstances, rather than concentrating primarily on whether the complainant behaved as a supposedly genuine victim should. This is a genuine institutional transformation, not simply a change in public attitudes. Are convictions becoming easier? Rape prosecution volumes in England and Wales have increased, and conviction rates among prosecuted cases have fluctuated. Recent reported figures have ranged from approximately 53% to above 60%, depending on the reporting period. However, these figures do not establish that juries have become systematically more inclined to convict. Changes in police investigation, prosecutorial case selection, evidence quality and trial practices complicate comparisons. The distinction between allegations reported, cases charged, cases proceeding to trial and convictions secured is essential. More effective prosecution does not necessarily mean a lower evidentiary threshold. The unresolved question of fairness The reforms address genuine historical disadvantages experienced by complainants. Yet they also raise legitimate questions about procedural fairness, particularly where allegations concern private encounters without independent witnesses, sometimes decades after the event. How reliably can a jury reconstruct what was communicated, understood or reasonably believed at the time? The legal answer remains proof beyond reasonable doubt. There is no general requirement that a defendant prove consent was obtained, nor a universal statutory requirement for verbal affirmative consent. Nevertheless, the shift from subjective honest belief towards objectively reasonable belief, combined with changing investigative practices and social expectations, has materially altered the environment in which rape allegations are prosecuted. Conclusion Two developments must be distinguished. First, a substantive legal change: the Sexual Offences Act 2003 narrowed the defence of mistaken belief in consent by requiring that belief to be reasonable. Second, an institutional and cultural change: modern prosecutions increasingly examine the accused’s conduct and the circumstances of consent rather than treating the complainant’s behaviour as the principal object of suspicion. The Russell Brand case illustrates this broader transformation, although it does not itself establish a new definition of rape. The remaining question is whether the law has simply become better at identifying non-consensual acts within otherwise consensual encounters, or whether juries have also become more willing to resolve inherently uncertain evidence in favour of complainants. The first proposition is supported by identifiable legal reforms. The second remains an empirical question that cannot be answered by conviction statistics alone. The burden of proof has not shifted. The legal and cultural framework within which that burden is discharged certainly has.

They don’t respect diversity. They don’t value inclusion. They are ideological supremacists intent to destroy Australian culture and freedoms.
In Victoria, 5-year-olds can opt out of singing the anthem on “religious and cultural” grounds but not gender lessons teaching them they can be born with the wrong body parts and boys who identify as girls must be allowed on their sports teams. Wild. news24.com.au/news/local/par…

Proud to announce that students in England will be able to study Ukrainian at GCSE. Literally the only thing humans have known for all of human history is sex. We didn’t know how to make fire, what shape the planet is, anything about gravity, but we knew sex. Because it’s that f—ing obvious. You can just tell it’s a boy on a girls sport team by looking at him with the good old fashion human eye. You can even spot him from a distance.
