We announced our $20M Series B Fundraise that will fuel our next phase of growth and innovation for a category that deserves it -- churches, universities, and nonprofits! The bedrock of community.
This is possible because of an INCREDIBLE team and set of supporters that surround us. Grateful for our investors, advisors, partners, and FLOW FAM staff who put in their heart and soul to birth our collective vision into reality. TO BUILD THE INFRASTRUCTURE THAT MAKES GENEROSITY FRICTIONLESS.
This funding has also enabled us to think even bigger as we build FULL STACK FINTECH FOR THE FAITH & PHILANTHROPIC SPACE.
Empowering HIGH IMPACT community-based organizations with the tools they need to increase giving, more efficiently manage spending, and eventually enable more effective access to growth lending we believe will change the game for those that are on the front lines of solving society's most pressing problems... mental & spiritual health, food & housing insecurity, education, disease & disaster relief, + so much more.
In addition to that, we knew we had to practice what we preach from the very beginning and continue our commitment to GIVING BACK 10% of our REVENUE. If our mission is to INSPIRE THE WORLD TO GIVE, we can't take anyone anywhere we haven't been ourselves.
We're excited that as we are successful in our mission and vision, it means a more generous world, greater effectiveness with that generosity, and a future that we would be excited to pass on to our children.
Just the beginning 🚀

📈 “What’s our avg gift size?”
📉 “Is online giving up or down?”
If you’re in ministry or impact work — this one’s for you. 💛 @Overflow_app

Recently sat down with a great business leader who has come alongside great organization successions/transitions. I asked him what was key in the founder/leader being able to be secure enough to have a healthy transition.
He told me that great and secure leaders know that organizations are built on LEADERSHIP and SYSTEMS. The founder is often confident that they can still contribute Leadership, but may no longer be the best person to evolve the Systems... the world is moving fast. That acknowledgment provides security in who one is, while recognizing what others may need to bring to the table for the vitality of the organization. In saying that if the successor doesn’t evolve and innovate, they are actually not doing their job in why it was transitioned to them in the first place. So the one that “handed it off” can still put a healthy pressure on the successor to ensure organizational evolution happens.
Additionally I learned that organizations find succession a lot smoother if the organization wasn’t built on just a person or personality.
I thought there was some principles in this that were really insightful.
