.@JamesTalarico on Texas officially banning THC:
“This bill is insane.
Texans aren’t going to stop smoking weed and eating edibles because politicians in Austin say so. Texans will still use THC — but instead of getting it safely from a local small business, they’ll go back to getting it from the black market. From the drug cartels.
This ban is a gift to the cartels.
We are now telling full-grown adults how to live their lives. This is the nanny state at its worst; this is big government at its worst.
Instead of fully funding our schools, guaranteeing healthcare, or making childcare more affordable — this Legislature is focused on banning a product that gives people a little peace.
We’re making people’s lives harder, not easier.
I want to leave you with a quote: ‘It is time to end needless arrests and incarcerations of adults for small amounts of marijuana for personal use.’ That wasn’t a Democrat. That was President Donald Trump.
To my Republican colleagues, I’m asking you to oppose the cartels, stand with President Trump, and vote no on this insane bill.”

I continue to believe that this race might be the catalyst for democracy ending in America. I just don't see a situation where the TXGOP will accept losing, it's one of the most extreme republican parties in America

When we win, the first bill I’m filing is a comprehensive anti-corruption package:
Overturn Citizens United
Ban corporate PACs and super PACs
Ban members of Congress from trading stocks
Once we defeat the most corrupt politician in America, we can defeat this corrupt system.

After 19 children were murdered in Uvalde, TX, you decided that going to a fundraiser 300 mi away in Huntsville was more important than leading our state during a horrific crisis. You, of all people, should not throw stones.
James Talarico was absent when it mattered most.
When Texas lawmakers voted on Jocelyn's Law -- named for a 12-year-old Houston girl sexually assaulted and strangled by illegal immigrants -- Talarico was a no-show.
Before that, he voted against the Damon Allen Act -- against bail restrictions for violent sexual offenders. And called illegal immigrants "my constituents."
Jocelyn Nungaray's family deserved better. Texas deserves better.
Talarico can run for U.S. Senate. But he can't run from his record.

Texas, the 8th largest economy on Earth, can connect 85% of its people with one rail network
Replying to @ClayDesert @JavanGonzalez
Half of all Texans live within 15 miles of I-35, you’d scoop another immediate 35% by connecting to Houston.
