Pat McAfee said he was "uncomfortable" and referenced Charlie Kirk's assassination after some students at Utah called him "corny" and "creepy" on Instagram.
The people involved keep saying there were no good options, but this seems like the worst. Tipoff is 9:30 a.m. in San Francisco!
After a weekend of nonstop frantic discussions and negotiation, Game 6 of the WNBA Finals will be played Thursday at 12:30 pm at 17,000-seat State Farm Arena in Atlanta, sources told ESPN.
The Atlanta Hawks-Cleveland Cavaliers game that night will move back to 8 pm to accommodate the doubleheader, just as the Hawks did for Game 4. This allows a potential Game 7 to remain scheduled for Halloween at Chase Center in San Francisco.
All three Finals games in Atlanta have required hurried adjustments to the schedule at State Farm Arena. It took collective efforts from the WNBA, NBA, the Hawks, State Farm Arena, Dream, Valkyries and broadcast partners to figure out the best course of action again.
By moving the game earlier in the day, the WNBA avoided a scenario where a potential championship game was played inside the Dream’s home arena, the 3,500 seat Gateway Center.
The other option under strong consideration was moving Game 6 to an open date at State Farm Arena on Friday and Game 7 to an open date at Chase Center on Tuesday, November 3.
Jalen Williams visited our Oklahoma State homecoming yesterday. Just to go. Took pics with my students. Our state loves this man. I'm sick.
Move either schedule one week and the WNBA Finals would not overlap with the NBA regular season. If only one organization ran both of these leagues...
Nobody knows where or even when WNBA Finals Game 6 will be played despite a furious round of negotiations spilling into Sunday between the WNBA, NBA, Valkyries, Dream and Atlanta Hawks, sources told @alexaphilippou and @ramonashelburne: spr.ly/6015BH5Zyb
Pat McAfee and Charles Barkley play similar entertainment roles. Both win by laughing at themselves. What's the difference? Pat's persecution complex is the secret sauce with his aggrieved podcast fans. But it's so off-putting coming from atop the sports media mountain.
When Chuck says "Who He Play For?" is unfair, it's a joke to set up an even bigger payoff at his expense. When Pat caps an otherwise entertaining segment complaining AGAIN about how someone is mistreating him, it only benefits his ego.
Protect this man. Don't let a PR flack near him.
Yaxel Lenderborg on his NBA debut and guarding Luka: "I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me... Being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect. That was awful"

"Yeah, it was interesting. I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me, for sure.
I had a lot of respect for him (Luka). You know, just watching. I didn't really watch the NBA much, I just watched highlights. Seeing him, you know, kill people all the time. But then being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like that was awful.
Like me getting frustrated, it's not about the foul being called, it's about him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul call, congratulations bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great, bro? Come on, dog. That's just weak. It kinda threw me off for a little while, cause you know, like I said, I had so much respect for him. Gone man, gone.
I was telling him he sucks, he can't score on me. You talking and you can't score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words obviously, you know, that's why I got the technical and all that. But I was letting him know, because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call.
His only bucket on me was a banker from half court. Like I know that it's a team sport. You know, he had 28pts on us as a team. Me, I took my matchup personally. Tried not to get caught on the fouls. Tried my best. I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked, probably would've still got a foul call."

I love every word of this. John Shulman gets how to build a mid-major team and fanbase.
"What we've done is we want to be the destination for Arkansas kids. If Cal doesn't want them, we want them."
The UCA men's basketball team has nine Arkansas players on the roster as they look to build on their historic season last year.
Coach Shulman said they want to keep the in-state talent in-state. Period.
Notre Dame @ BYU was a no-brainer and delivered. I'm more impressed by their decision to stay in the Beehive State this week for Houston @ Utah. Probably doesn't match last week's audience, but it sure beats featuring Texas for the 3rd time in 2 months.
College GameDay from BYU averaged 3M viewers on ESPN, the most-watched episode of the season and the third most-watched regular-season episode ever.
The show peaked at 3.9M viewers. Through seven weeks, it’s pacing up 7% over its 2025 season average. #TunedIn
The four World Series from 2020-2023 are the least watched ever.
Ratings rebounded for Los Angeles wins in 2024 and 2025.
This... will be a test.
The World Series matchup is set!
Either the Brewers or Rays will win their first championship 🏆

ALT World Series 2026, Presented By Capital One Tampa Bay Rays vs. Milwaukee Brewers A spooky Halloween-themed graphic with the World Series trophy in front of an orange-hued moon with bats flying around in a dark night sky. The words "2026 Fall Classic" are also visible in the sky. On the left is a cityscape of St. Petersburg and on the right is a cityscape of Milwaukee. Text of both team name as well as "TB vs. MIL" are scattered around the graphic. Pictured: On the left side are cutouts of Junior Caminero, Yandy Díaz and Jonathan Aranda in road gray Rays uniforms and dark blue batting helmets. On the right side are William Contreras, Jackson Chourio and Jake Bauers in cream-colored Brewers uniforms and dark blue batting helmets.
This Jalen Hurts story demands investigative reporting. Can severely cut sports newsrooms still answer the call? Will league media partners engage? Telling week ahead.
