Delightful @Translink_NI service - over 40mins late on 1pm Derry-Belfast, understandable given weather. Less understandable, terminating at Lanyon to turn without telling anyone expecting to get out at Botanic/GC. Basically called a liar for flagging your on-board PA didn't work. – at Belfast, Northern Ireland

Unless we all collectively went deaf, it's prob worth considering there may have been a fault - one that wasn't of the making of the passengers now travelling in the wrong direction. 😬 – at Belfast, Northern Ireland

Where my journalism career began - and I ended up getting my first proper job before I even finished the course, juggling shifts at Q Radio with exams. Not bad going given that the @UlsterUni Journalism course back then was print-led! Check out how it looks now ⬇️ – at Broughshane, Northern Ireland
Watch what we do on our @UlsterUni Journalism degrees TV, radio, digital, content creation, live production and plenty of opportunities to learn from the industry. Pass it on ⬇️ 🏆 NI’s only @BJTC_UK accredited course Some spaces available for Sept: ulster.ac.uk/courses/202627/…

I remember the first time I bumped into Jim on a night out, being fascinated by how he held court and his old-school words of wisdom. "Bring me a front page, I'll give you a job." Nearly delivered the front page. Ended up on a boat. Long story. Condolences to Lindy & family.

Yesterday my wonderful friend Paul Conroy ⁦@reflextv⁩ died of a heart attack. After years taking pictures and reporting in some of the world’s most dangerous places, he was visiting family in Devon. All of us who knew and loved him are devastated. He was 61.

What a great thing to get to be a little part of, visiting St Patrick's College in Ballymena with Waterford actor Jamie Beamish as part of the Creative Communities on a Shared Island project by Mid & East Antrim Borough Council and Waterford City & County Council. – at Ballymena, Northern Ireland

Yeesh. I mean, logic or a shred of familiarity with it suggests hockey's UK growth and popularity with women led to the rise of those "books", not the other way round. Getting a notion, being told you're wrong and cracking on anyway isn't journalism. 🙄 ft.com/content/9293facc-e8e7… – at Broughshane, Northern Ireland

I recall Belfast traffic chaos being blamed on commuters not using public transport... £17.50 return for the privilege of standing crushed in a metal box for the guts of an hour while passengers breathed through their ears to allow the train doors to close. Wasn't even rush hour.

Next year would have marked 20 years in journalism for me, but after a media career that's taken me from radio to TV, print and digital, tonight I'm signing off on my final @BelTel shift and getting ready for a new chapter away from news. Don't think it's sunk in yet!

Alina Bohdan fled war in Ukraine. She has young children and is suffering from cancer. Last night she was huddled in fear reading the Bible to them as a baying racist mob swept down the street, seeking whom they might devour. What sickening insanity. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…
