WTF, Steve? Look up the definition of “humanitarian.” What an embarrassing and outrageous thing to say. You should go back to Ukraine and ask the families of the children Putin has kidnapped and murdered whether they agree your friend Putin is a “humanitarian.”
Steve Witkoff to Putin: You talk so much about my president, President Trump, being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that, I commend you, and I thank you again.

When foreign invaders occupy part of your country and turn your children, in their own schools, into soldiers trained to come back and kill the rest of you once they grow up, it’s… it’s just unspeakable evil. It is unfathomable tragedy for Ukraine. Not all of those kids will be able to resist the russian propaganda machine. Not all of them will escape. We will be forced to face our own children on the battlefield, brainwashed and driven into the line of fire. I can’t even begin to put into words the mixture of pain and hatred I feel. This is also the answer to anyone advocating for occupation. This is why we can never leave our people there.
“We were being trained to be Russian soldiers.” Daria, 18, and Matvii, 19, grew up in Russian-occupied Crimea. At the Pathways to Peace Conference in Toronto, they described how Russia uses schools to prepare Ukrainian children for military service. Daria recalled boys being taught to handle weapons. Matvii described cadet classes and a Russian soldier urging pupils to fight against Ukrainians when they turned 18. Countering this indoctrination and militarization requires sustained international action. Children need safe routes out of occupation and long-term support to recover and rebuild their lives. Read their testimonies in the Institute of Mass Information’s report. #BringKidsBack imi.org.ua/news/nas-gotuvaly…

My thanks to everyone expressing their outrage and concern. Of course there are millions of people whose lives are threatened by Russia every day in Ukraine, and Ukrainian victory remains the best form of security for me, my colleagues, and all of Europe.
putin’s desperate plot to silence Garry Kasparov on American soil. putin’s regime has once again proven that it operates less like a legitimate government and more like a transnational mafia syndicate. According to an explosive investigative report by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, the Kremlin’s intelligence hit squads reached all the way into the United States in a cowardly attempt to murder legendary chess champion and fearless pro-democracy leader Garry Kasparov. For years, @kasparov63 has used his massive global platform to speak truth to power, exposing the corruption, brutality, and lawlessness of putin’s dictatorship. Unable to defeat his ideas with arguments, the Kremlin resorted to its default language: violence and terror. U.S. authorities had to step in this summer to directly warn Garry Kasparov that he was a top target for Kremlin assassins, forcing official security measures to shield his life. This wasn't just a vague threat. Court documents and investigative reports reveal a chilling network of operatives hunting anti-putin voices across borders. While putin’s thugs tried to outsource their dirty work, offering pocket change to mercenaries to stalk targets in Washington, the plot exposes the utter panic inside the Kremlin. Dictators like putin are terrified of brilliant, uncompromised voices like Kasparov who remind the world that a free, democratic Russia is possible. This assassination plot shatters the illusion that critics are safe once they leave Russia. Yet, for all their dark money, surveillance networks, and hired thugs, the Kremlin's desperation only reveals their weakness. They can threaten, stalk, and plot, but they will never silence Garry Kasparov, nor the unstoppable demand for freedom.

2021: Druzhkivka, there are no russians. 2026: Druzhkivka, the russians are very close. Most of the time, memories bring tears, but tears of joy or tears of sorrow are completely different feelings. Yesterday, September 6th, was City Day in Druzhkivka. Now this frontline city in the Donetsk region has found itself at the epicenter of hostilities. The video you are seeing is the soul of a time that was and is in many places across my country. The residents of Druzhkivka have seen a lot of video footage over the years of the war and know how badly their home is already destroyed. But yesterday everything resurfaced in memory, and those who had the opportunity simply wanted to see "memories," and today's technology makes that possible. The year 2021 - this exact video is what you can also see, what that day was like, a holiday for the local residents, their city day. None of us can say for sure what awaits each of us, but most likely, it's better not to know... You try to do everything possible in your life, hoping for positive outcomes and carrying hope within yourself. But... external circumstances, the powerful people of this world can upend the destinies of millions. This is what is happening in my country.

#Putin bombed iconic 120 year old #Mennonite Girls' School near #Zaporizhzhia, @Ukraine. This follows attacks on an 11th century Eastern Orthodox cathedral in June and a Baptist church in April. To date, he's bombed > 700 worship centers, killing > 58 priests/pastors. #StopPutin

After a decade of Russia's current "cognitive" operation against NATO, many still haven't caught on. It's not a conspiracy theory when Russia's dictator tells you what's he's doing! Yet people choose ignorance. @Combatvetpaul #SlavaUkraini #StopPutin youtube.com/watch?v=E2GLeNIy…

Putin bombed a Baptist Church in Ukraine last night. Ten victims so far including the pastor, Ruslan Utuzh. His daughter is to wed next month. Putin has killed as many as 80 pastors and priests and destroyed more than 700 churches. He targets evangelicals disproportionately.

12 yrs ago Russia invaded & occupied 20% of Ukraine. 4 yrs ago Russia began a full-scale assault. Today, at the cost of 1.25 million Russian casualties, they've gained another 1% of territory. #SlavaUkraini, #StopPutin, @U2, @antytila_offic, #DaysOfAsh youtube.com/watch?v=zfridIxu…

Trump's Justice Department is in possession of thousands of videos of children being graped by wealthy and powerful men. Those men WERE being blackmailed by Epstein. But by not releasing their names, these men must now be loyal to Trump to protect their identities. Trump is now using Epstein's secret recordings to blackmail the most powerful people in the world so they remain loyal to him.

I was just laid off by The Washington Post in the middle of a warzone. I have no words. I'm devastated.
Waking up without power, heat, or running water. (Again.) But the work here in Kyiv continues. Warming up in the car, writing in pencil — pen ink freezes — by headlamp. Despite how difficult this job can be, I am proud to be a foreign correspondent at The Washington Post.

Trump: "Some very good things happening on Ukraine and Russia. Very good things." Very good things? Like the humanitarian disaster they caused in Kyiv? Today’s attack on the passenger train in Kharkiv region, or the bombing of a residential building in Odesa? WHAT GOOD THINGS?

Yes, NATO is dead now. And the final nail in its coffin was driven by the biggest useful idiot the Kremlin and Beijing have ever had in the history of the Western world. He did it out of his megalomania, ultra-vulgarity, his hunger for the easiest money and the cheapest attention, shallowness, ignorance, and an addiction to self-glorification in front of TV cameras, which has long since crossed into madness. He did it out of sheer amorality, too: an insatiable urge to humiliate, humiliate, humiliate those who depend on him, for nothing but petty self-affirmation -- while groveling before powerful and criminal enemies, just to get a scrap of their approval and feel like he belongs among the big bad guys. But his is not the end. It is the beginning of a new alliance in a new world, a change that has been overdue for far too long. The nations that remain faithful to the values of the free world will stay together. And now, on the front line of that defense, stands Ukraine, with unmatched experience of the warfare of a new era, and a military exceptional in its resilience and heroism against one of the largest and most relentless war machines in human history. Now it is time to GET FREAKING SERIOUS and truly unite around a European, Euro-Atlantic Ukraine: to help it, and to learn from it, and to absorb its priceless experience and inventions for the collective defense of the democratic West. The arsenal of democracy is here now.
