I’ve never held the same job title twice. In fact, I’ve switched career paths 5 times, all before 30 I started off in frontend development, then transitioned to consulting, moved on to business operations, switched to strategy/business transformation, and now in partnerships.

We have just one, and on some days, I still can’t get past the 15s mark. Whewww
One thing that nobody really prepares you for in becoming a parent of multiple young children is that there are some days when you have a 2 minute story you want to tell your spouse, but you can never quite get past the 30-45 second mark

Omg did this too, ‘cause my locs were a mess. I had been buying any product that had argan on it, Claude told me you need pure argan/jojoba oil, use this instead. Today, I used one of the “pure products” Claude recommended, my hair looks so much better.
On having seborrheic dermatitis, I developed a prompt for Claude: whenever I acquire a new skincare product or weigh a purchase, I submit it to the chat so it can advise whether the item is worth buying.

Congratulations!! Beautifully articulated 👌🏾
Two years ago today, I made this post announcing my move to the United States! 🇺🇸 This week marks my 2nd anniversary of living and working in America! ❤️ Two years ago, we voluntarily left our comfortable life in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 for America 🇺🇸. I had a good engineering job, owned a home, enjoyed 40 days of annual leave, and had access to affordable healthcare. Yet, I still pushed for an internal transfer to the US 🇺🇸. People sometimes ask me: WHY? 😂 Well, after two years of living and working in America, I think I can finally give a proper answer. Here’s why I moved, what America has taught me, what I miss about Europe, and whether I would do it all over again. From 🇳🇬 to 🇩🇪 to 🇳🇱 and now 🇺🇸. Let’s talk about it! 🧵👇

I spent 4+ years in my last role - and then spent a whole year struggling to admit I had outgrown it. My nervous system was wrecked and I hated Mondays. In June, I finally quit with nothing lined up and took a sabbatical…wrote the full story here: wamide.substack.com/p/i-had-…
Has anyone ever quit their job without having a backup job lined up, just to protect their mental health ?

someone just quoted this tweet and I’m resharing because it is still relevant. In my 20s, I was in the trenches (relatively). PS: my newsletter has moved to substack though. moeodele.substack.com/
I spent my 20s struggling. When I say struggling, I mean struggling. I saw every side of it. And one thing I’ve realized is that you have to make a decision yourself for when you want to stop struggling. If you don’t consciously make it, you will never escape the struggle.

Spot on. Wrote about this: wamide.substack.com/p/how-to… Turn your dissatisfaction into a decision and act on it. Works every single time
This is sooo chilling as this is the current state of my life. I just realized that without firmly deciding the life I want to live. Life was taking me where I did not like.

I’m asking the internet to do something scary: *Please Take a chance on me* My name is Assumpta. I’m a Nigerian creative writer living with cerebral palsy, and I’ve spent my entire life learning how to pursue opportunities in a world that doesn’t always make room for my body

In-vesting, not ex-vesting You gotta play the long game with money
As a financially risk averse person of modest means, investing is funny mehn. I put ~ $700 in stocks via Risevest 2 weeks ago to test the waters and I’ve already lost north of $30. My guy says i should put more. It must be a joke 😭

Nigerian history deserves more than scattered Wikipedia pages. For @1000reasons9ja, I created 1800+ dated moments of Nigerian history. You can now trace Nigeria from the 1300s to 2026. I also added 200 more reasons against T-Pain’s administration. 1000reasons.vote/hall-of-fam…

I was the management consultant at a Big 4 who was completely detached and fatigued from her day-to-day. On paper, the job made perfect sense. In reality, I felt hollow. And I had parents who were finally proud of where I worked. That last part made it so much harder to leave.

Because it wasn't just about the job anymore. It was about the story everyone around me had built about who I was and where I was going. Leaving felt like betrayal. Staying felt like slow erosion. I chose to leave anyway. That was in 2017.

Almost ten years later - I've found myself in ways just a job couldn’t help me. And I've coached 200+ professionals through the same crossroads. A job looking good on paper is not the same as fitting your life.
