Busoga Environmental Defenders Strengthen Collective Action Against Nature Crimes
Last week we were hosted by @uganda_climate for a Protecting Defenders Against Nature Crimes (PRODNAC) training workshop in Jinja City.
PRODNAC equips #DANCs to track illicit financial flows, follow the money behind nature crimes, and strengthen protection for environmental defenders.

Key Lessons from the engagement:
🔹 Follow the money behind nature crimes.
🔹 Address poverty, food insecurity & other socio-economic drivers.
🔹 Enforcement must be followed by prosecution.

This is beautiful indeed
Why should someone be beaten, motorcycle impounded and money extorted by security members to release the motorbike when someone left his/her home clean?
It should be from Mandatory cleaning to Mandatory tree growing.
A clean environment without trees is incomplete

🚨Arsenal are set to make a profit on Leandro Trossard after signing the player from Brighton for £17million in 2023.
It will go down as one of the best bits of business this football club will ever do.
From Mykhalio Mudryk to Leandro Trossard to the goal against West Ham and all the other clutch moments in between.
What a player. Leandro Trossard. 🫡

In Adjumani district, locals are trying hard to plant trees to change the narrative of lost canopies.
But the nature criminals are also not relenting in finishing the trees in Zoka forest.
When will this chain of criminality be broken?
@FriendsofZoka @AmanzWillieONE @NFAUG
These should not be annihilated like they did with the forests.
From Zoka Forest, where trees are older than borders, comes Uganda’s wild ZOKA Coffee untamed, resilient, a manifest of strength & survival. Grown natural, picked by hands that know the trees.
Wild by nature. Strong by origin. Every bean, a survivor. Every cup, a story.

Nature & health are tied closer than most people admit your body & mind literally reset when you’re outside in nature.
Nature itself is the best physician.
In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
Let Nature Walk be part of your menu.
Why has data become so expensive in UG? Why shd @mtnug or @Airtel_Ug upgrade a customer to another bundle when it is hard for one to afford.
The speed at which the data consumption is high. Why shd data be made to expire? Who accounts for the money spent?

This is the reason why Trees acs as windbreakers. Grow them at homes, towns and Cities. A few minutes ago, this was the storm that swept through Terego district and Arua City
