Interesting how it's always "vote according to Biblical values!" until it comes to the verses about welcoming immigrants, helping the poor, feeding the hungry, bringing healthcare to the sick, forgiving debts, caring for our planet, laying down our swords or loving our neighbors.

As Senator Natalie Murdock reminds us, millions of eligible voters are not consistently making their voices heard at the ballot box. As The Freedom Church, we know the sacrifices made to secure this right and the responsibility we carry to exercise it. Tomorrow is Election Day! Let's honor that legacy, encourage one another, and make our voices heard. Zion, let's show up! Find your polling location at CanIVote.org. #ZionVotes #TheFreedomChurch #ElectionDay2026 #AMEZion

Maybe this hit me in a certain way because I am from Mississippi, but this from @scott_colom is the most inspiring, emotional closing argument of 2026.
Medgar Evers was killed in his driveway because he refused to accept a Mississippi where some were denied the right to vote. He stood with thousands who marched, organized and sacrificed so future generations could have a voice. We owe it to them not to take that right for granted. On Tuesday, honor their legacy. Vote.

An ABC News analysis just found that Trump's sons have received $6 billion in federal contracts since 2024. Remember how angry MAGA was about Hunter Biden? Now Trump is paying his own sons billions of our tax money. This is the real swamp we need to drain!

WARNOCK on Republicans praying before cutting SNAP: I wondered to myself what kind of prayer was that? Were they praying: “Lord give us the strength to take food out of the mouths of hungry children?” I don't know who they were praying to.

This video of President Barack Obama always makes me cry and I’m not a crier.I think it’s because I see what an incredible honorable empathic caring man & President he is and it makes me wish he was still in office instead of the Ass man Donald Trump.

Deservedly scathing op-ed by the NYT: “If Democrats retake both houses of Congress, and more state governments than they now control, it will tell the world that Mr. Trump does not represent most Americans. It will demonstrate that a country that starts to slide toward autocracy can move back to normalcy, as happened in Hungary this spring. Most important, it will create a desperately needed check on Mr. Trump during his final two years in office. … In a 21-month span, he has done more harm to democracy and the rule of law than any other president in the modern era and perhaps longer than that. He has broken his oath to defend the Constitution by trying to rewrite it on his own. He has refused to honor Congress’s power of the purse and misused national security laws for political ends. He has defied federal court orders on Medicaid funding, deportation orders and more. He has dismantled the Justice Department’s legacy as an impartial enforcer of federal law, turning it into an instrument of retribution against his adversaries while canceling investigations into his allies. He has appointed inept sycophants to oversee crucial government functions, including law enforcement, national defense and public health. He has sought to disenfranchise large numbers of voters, claiming fraud that cannot be found, and championed an extreme new approach to partisan gerrymandering. He has physically besmirched the White House by demolishing the East Wing and financing a garish renovation with donations from wealthy allies.” nytimes.com/2026/10/27/opini…

Obama will be known for: -enacting our 1st national health care plan -guiding recovery from financial crisis -honorable service -intellect -exemplary family life -exposing the visceral racism of "regular folks" who couldn't accept a black president
Makes speeches for 500k a pop. Hasn’t eaten dinner that costs less than $250 in years. Has never been in a Cheesecake Factory. Undefeated at condescending to regular folks. Will always be known for a presidency that ushered in the Trump era to begin with.

I'm watching Obama and I'm thinking - Look! A real president! On TV! Speaking to ALL the country - about values, history, courage, sacrifice, allies, and commitment to Democracy. He is frank, forceful, articulate, truthful. No spin, no digression, no hyperbole, no bribes, no self-aggrandizement. Just communication filled with information. In a spirit of unity, urgency, hope, and togetherness. Honesty and truth. Leadership. I miss them so much.

NEW AD: Texans can't afford groceries or healthcare. Because the system has been rigged by billionaires and corrupt politicians like Ken Paxton. Texas needs a senator who will put money in your pocket — not money in their own.

Under the Biden/Harris Administration Black farmers were finally getting a path to land ownership. Trump came in office and shut that down. Many Black businesses received assistance from the MBDA. Trump shuttered that. Many Black students have obtained resources to attend college via Gear Up/TRIO, Trump cut that funding Black unemployment is up to 7.0% That’s what’s on that ballot

Ten years ago today. In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for. Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China. We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

On October 16, 2019, I told Donald Trump, “With you, Mr. President, all roads lead to Putin.” On October 16, 2026, Trump signed an executive order waiving new sanctions on Russia passed by bipartisan majorities in Congress and signed into law just last month. This decision insults America’s commitment to democracy and our brave men and women in uniform, as Russia helps Iran target American forces. I join Republican senators in condemning this unconscionable capitulation to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians. As I have asked for years: What does Putin have on Trump that he would sell out America’s values?

If this woman were black, the whole conversation would be about DEI. Funny how when white employees fail, nobody mentions THEIR race or ethnicity. And yet — how much of Trump’s administration is just affirmative action for nice-looking white people?
