A member of the #UOVOPP is being praised for his life-saving actions after an incident at Round Lake. Click "ALT" below for details. ^bd
A member of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is being praised for his life-saving actions. Constable Jared Moore was off-duty Feb. 24th when he saw two snowmobiles attempting to cross open water on Round Lake. The first machine made it but the second plunged into the frigid water along with its driver. The two riders are a husband and wife from western Ontario. Constable Moore and the husband attempted to the woman and the husband slipped into the water to help his spouse. Constable Moore pulled both out and provided first aid. The couple was transported to hospital with possible hypothermia. Later Constable MOORE, still off-duty, picked up the couple at the hospital and drove them back to the lake and their vehicle. “I want to thank Constable Moore for his selfless actions. Despite being off-duty, Jared didn’t hesitate to jump into action, exhibiting the traits and dedication that exemplify the commitment and dedication of being a member of the OPP." - Supt. Darryl Sigouin

I am saddened to learn of the loss of my friend Carol. We spoke just a few times but she & her husband Ron are part of my Police Family & were steadfast in their support of my son when he battled his Cancer. Rest now Carol & thank you for being a force for good. X #PoliceFamily – at South West, England
