we announced Jev 1.14 on 10.14 at 1:14pm PT 🔥
a new and improved model, along with experimental features for our dreamers:
• images
• a new box type
• longer context
surprise, Jev was already able to see you! 👁️
BUT our bar for production-grade intelligence is quite high, so builders beware, these are preview features.

Linus Torvalds says, rules prohibiting AI usage are “UTTERLY STUPID” and “idiotic”.
For the Linux kernel, Torvalds says, “we’re not going to make stupid rules that say ‘you can’t use tools for X’”.
Start 👏 vibe-coding 👏 your 👏 own 👏 coffee machine
Hey uh, @Keurig - what the hell is a COFFEE MACHINE uploading, let me double check...
ONE FUCKING TERABYTE OF DATA IN 10 DAYS!?!?
Immediately unplugging that. Getting my parents a new coffee machine.
When AI deshittifies enshittified bloated software and SaaS software built by egregious companies (looking specifically at you, Adobe) …
What a time to be alive !
REA creator just released prompts that turn any AI agent into reverse-engineering lab
absurdly f*cking dangerous...
One paste and your agents will:
• reverse engineer any paid app
• open Android, IPhone apps, Windows .exe and firmware
• take apart any app without its source code
• and that's just the start...
Send this to Claude Code & Codex & Cursor & Muse Code and thank me later. Before you run it, read the article below:

Shut your yap.
Open Office / Libre Office sucks.
It ate my 40 page essay during finals week.
I'm paying back a grudge that has been years in the making.
Stop dragging along shitty OSS software and venerating it like it's some holy relic. Let it die.

The developer behind free, open-source alternatives to Adobe software is now taking on Microsoft Office.
Brandon Thomas, the creator of the ArtCraft project, has unveiled three more tools designed to replicate Microsoft’s most popular apps:
>WordCraft – an alternative to Microsoft Word.
>GridCraft – an alternative to Microsoft Excel.
>DeckCraft – an alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint.
he wants to give people free alternatives to expensive software subscriptions using AI
And he’s not stopping at Microsoft and Adobe. Autodesk alternatives and other subscription-based software could also be part of the plan.
The developer who started the project of cloning Photoshop and other Adobe projects with AI is now going after Microsoft Office.
WordCraft is here. Like other Craft projects, this one is in Rust too and this one is in Alpha too.
Start is a good thing. But will we ever see the finished product?

I've just made a live tracker for the community effort for optimizing the "Integer multiplication below n log n" mathematical problem, so everybody can see the progress on it: beyond-n-log-n.netlify.app

Many staggering results here. But this is a particularly amazing one: the exponent for matrix multiplication is no more than 2.25. The previous world record had been something like 2.37. This leap in progress is like Bob Beamon's long jump.

We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model.
We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results.
