The interview came out less than a year ago.
✳️ Luca thinks Abstract can launch with a multi-billion FDV.
❌Reality: No comments.
✳️ Luca likes the mixed ICO + TGE idea, same as Monad did.
❌Reality: Abstract is shutting down with no TGE and no ICO.

Woke up to see -$2,400 in my account.
I paid 1.25 ETH ($3,200) for an @standard_rsv NFT through the auction. Just yesterday, I had over 8,000 $STANDARD.
Then, without any warning, they burned my NFT and gave me back only a small portion of what I had.
Their reason? "They burned inactive charters."
I'm literally on the website 24/7 because I never close the tab, and I check it daily.
No on-chain activity? That's because expanding branches is ridiculously expensive. The last time I checked, it would have cost around $2,000 just to expand.
And yes, I know about Dormant Bankers. I was actually planning to do something about it, but your website was down for 48 hours and has been flagged as "unsafe" since the update.
I bought my NFT through the auction, NOT the whitelist mint. I paid FULL PRICE for it, and you just burned it without any warning?

Y'all seriously need to improve how you communicate with your community. People have invested real money into this project, and decisions like this shouldn't come out of nowhere.

Abstract set a dangerous precedent: an L2 can collect gas fees, make teams pay to build on its chain, incentivize users and builders with token expectations, then shut down without ever delivering a TGE.
They extracted value from an ecosystem they encouraged people to invest in, then left those same people holding the bag.
Base and RH are different, they never ran points campaigns tied to expected token rewards.
If Abstract gets away with this, every L2 gets a blueprint to exploit its community and walk away with zero accountability.

This is outrageous, they not only didnt deliver any value after so much farming but they also fkd over a bunch of projects that trusted them.

Beyond disappointed, I understood shutting down as a business failing is part of it but it seems that no communication EVER existed with either builders or community.

Day 1: panic-buy the floor
Day 2: bids on Blur, hoping something sticks
Day 3: bids + more buying
So this is the master plan?
$640k left. 37 NFTs already bought. At this pace the cash lasts 3-7 days. Then what?
You can duct-tape the floor all you want. The crowd still sells. And still no answer on why anyone should actually hold the NFT or the token. You can’t outbid the crowd.
And any promise from here gets full skepticism. In crypto the bad sticks. The “trust us” part expires overnight.
The @pudgypenguins team already burned $250k of their $1M “rescue fund” trying to save NFT collection after @AbstractChain shutdown.
Bought a whole 25 penguins. Still 750k left on the wallet.
Terrifying to imagine what the floor would look like without team frantically buying their own bags, but I think at this pace the piggy bank runs dry in 2–3 days and we’ll all find out.
Can’t fight the trend. Zero reasons left to buy or hold a penguin rn.

Millions of wallets and thousands of holders now have to migrate their assets off Abstract before December 15.
But what happens to all the fees generated during that migration?

Abstract generated roughly $6,130 in network fees on October 7, compared to a 90-day daily average of around $3,650.
That's roughly a 68% increase.

So here's my question:
How much revenue will Abstract generate from everyone being forced to migrate?
And more importantly, how much of those fees actually becomes revenue for the team after settlement and network costs?

I'm not suggesting anything shady is happening, and network fees ≠ team profit.
But with holders already taking losses and an entire ecosystem being forced to unwind, I think it's a fair question to ask.
