JUST IN: The Pentagon has published a remarkable image of China's secretive Shenlong spaceplane in orbit, captured by a Maxar satellite and featured in its newly released 2026 space threat assessment. The reusable, uncrewed spacecraft launches aboard a rocket and returns to Earth on a runway, similar to the U.S. military's X-37B. China has conducted four orbital missions since 2020, demonstrating the ability to deploy and maneuver near other objects in space. The DIA warns that technologies used for satellite inspection and proximity operations could also support anti-satellite capabilities. China has disclosed few details about the spacecraft's missions or capabilities.

Mental effort is different from physical effort honestly shows like dragon ball Z which I 💙 does this concept a disservice cuz it depicts mental effort the same way as we understand the physical that is incorrect. Real mental effort is actually the act of surrender #IYKYK 😺👉💡
No exaggeration, this guy might be the best interview in pro sports right now

Why does an electron’s spin flip reverse its magnetic poles while a positron’s poles track its spin? These diagrams show the dipole field manifolds of spin-½ leptons. Because the electron carries negative charge its magnetic moment opposes its spin; the positron’s positive charge aligns the two. Field lines therefore leave the N pole and enter the S pole, producing the opposite patterns you see. The same relation underlies electron-spin resonance used in chemistry, spintronic devices that store information in spin orientation, and the most precise tests of quantum electrodynamics that compare the magnetic moments of electrons and positrons. A single particle’s spin orientation draws the field lines that shape both laboratory instruments and our deepest checks of matter–antimatter symmetry.

THIS IS INSANE!!! A San Francisco startup says it just turned mercury into real gold. The company is Marathon Fusion. This week they announced they'd made stable gold using fusion neutrons, at 10x the record CERN set in 2025. CERN's record was 29 picograms over four years. So nobody's pouring bars yet. The method is what got me. You hit mercury-198 with a fusion neutron. It loses a neutron, becomes mercury-197, and over the next few days decays into gold-197. The exact same gold sitting in central bank vaults. Their 2025 paper says a one-gigawatt fusion plant built this way could make around 2 tonnes of gold a year as a side product, while it's selling electricity. I've said it for years. Gold is a shiny rock. It's valuable because there's only so much of it and pulling it out of the ground is hard and expensive. If this holds up, gold's scarcity turns into an engineering problem. And you can only delay technical progress. You can't stop it. To be fair, the gold comes out mixed with radioactive isotopes and would need to sit for well over a decade before it's safe to touch. Nobody outside the company has verified the result yet, and commercial fusion is still years away. Peter Schiff has spent years telling everyone Bitcoin has no intrinsic value. This week a startup says it made gold out of mercury. There will only ever be 21 million Bitcoin. No reactor on Earth can make one more.
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

Waves on a torus cannot wander freely—they must close on themselves, so only specific vibrations survive. The patterns solve the Helmholtz equation (∇²_Σ + λ_k²)Φ_k = 0 on the surface. Integers (m, n) count how many times each wave wraps the major and minor circles; every pair produces a standing mode whose crests and troughs fit the torus without mismatch. As (m, n) grow, the interference grows more intricate, yet each remains an exact eigenfunction of the same operator. Topology alone turns continuous waves into a discrete, perfect lattice of shapes.

A binary star system can reveal the mass of stars we could never weigh on Earth. Astronomers measure how far each star moves around their shared centre of mass and how long one orbit takes. Kepler’s third law turns those measurements into the system’s total mass. The clever part is that the heavier star moves less. The centre of mass sits closer to it, and the ratio of their orbital distances gives the inverse ratio of their masses. Even stars light years away cannot hide how heavy they are.

In 1908, Hermann Minkowski proposed a radical idea: space and time are not separate things, but parts of one structure called spacetime. Two observers can measure different distances and durations, yet agree on the spacetime interval. Its formula combines time and space into one quantity that stays unchanged between inertial observers. Space and time depend on how you move. The relationship between events does not.
