While my mum was away for omugwo, a friend decided to come and cook for us. She felt pity for us because she knew we couldn’t properly prepare local dishes, and she was aware of how much my dad loves them. When she arrived, she asked what local food we preferred, and I told her. She went into the kitchen, prepared it, and served us. We all ate together, and my dad and I kept complimenting her cooking as we ate. After she left, my dad called me and jokingly said, “She can’t cook like my wife.” 😁🙈
