This is superb by @jaketapper
Police were clubbed, gassed, confronted and maimed on Jan 6
And 100s admitted their roles in doing so .. by pleading guilty
Tapper: Those are officers being attacked on Jan 6th? By this standard, would any of those officers be justified in shooting and killing the people, causing them physical harm?
Noem: When people are physically harming them, they have the authority to arrest those individuals.
Tapper: The president pardoned every single one of them.
Noem: President Trump has been so focused on is making sure that when we're out there, we don't pick and choose which situations are in which laws are enforced and which ones aren'
Tapper: I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers. Undisputed proof, undisputed evidence. And I just said President Trump pardoned all of them. And you said that President Trump is enforcing all the laws equally. It's just not true. There's a different standard for law enforcement officials being attacked. If they're being attacked by trump supporters. We just saw that.

You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Yes, being unknown can inflate favorability by removing negative baggage, allowing for an idealized perception (the "blank slate" effect). You keep ignoring a crucial part of that survey: Never heard of.
Replying to @cbouzy
First off, nonsense.
Recognition doesn’t inflate favorability, there is literally a distinct category for unknown. Which is why a known brand can turn out the opponent base against you.
Second, no one is trying to “anoint” anyone.
Part of the whole point of the primary is to also debate amongst the party as to which candidate you want to run in the general.
Having and sharing an opinion that Crockett has tougher odds in a general, is *literally* part of what you do in a primary and is the part of the political process you are trying to shut down as if she is beyond critique.
This is exactly what a primary is for.

Following reports that the right wing SVP party in Switzerland has used a #WeAreFamily sound-alike song in a political video without permission, #NileRodgers made the following statement:
“I wrote ‘We Are Family’ to be the ultimate song about inclusion and diversity at all levels, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion or sexual orientation. I condemn its use by the SVP (Swiss People's Party) or anyone else not keeping with the values of the song and all decent people. The purpose of the song is to bring joy to all with no exclusions!”
@HipgnosisSongs , @SonyMusicPub and @WarnerChappell are all working to have the SVP cease and desist their use of the song.

Only in US and Canada do restaurant customers decide if their servers earn a living wage. Considering hourly wages so low they'd be illegal elsewhere, an ignoble history, and its routine weaponization against workers, it's time to slay the tipping beast.

Great thread (and reporting!) by Carly on the harassment campaign waged against Meghan Markle on Twitter:
It’s been 2 weeks since @cbouzy's Bot Sentinel report was released. After it came out, I reached out to @RashadRobinson, president of @ColorOfChange. We spoke about Twitter’s response to the report, platform accountability, and the “deep appreciation” he has for Harry + Meghan.

British consumers are increasingly worried about #inflation: the share of UK adults who are “very concerned” about inflation jumped by almost half from August to September, rising from 21% to 32%.

Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa. I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way. The press is not the enemy.
