Will it work? Who knows.
Are boosters and the fan base excited? Yes.
High-risk, high-reward like most coaching hires.
BREAKING: Philip Rivers is coming home.
The NC State legend is finalizing a deal to return to the Wolfpack as the program's 37th head coach, as we reported to @PackPower247 subscribers on Saturday.

I think it could work great. Might not.
If Rivers means orders of magnitude more for the roster, why can’t it? He has so many coaching connections.
Deion is not a good comp. He doesn’t even try to do a lot of the stuff you need to succeed. I don’t think Rivers is a grift.
NC State is apparently serious about hiring Phillip Rivers.
When will these folks ever learn that hiring the big name with no college coaching experience NEVER WORKS?
That and my CFP rankings thoughts in this week's Mailbag.

Newman. He and Frank Costanza were like having two Hall of Famers coming off the bench. What a roster.

Can't understand Boo Corrigan not making himself available to discuss the Doeren dismissal. Winningest coach in school history and 14 years on the job. There should be an explanation. You don't no-comment that. Or shouldn't.

Pathetic 1st half for the Panthers, who are justifiably getting booed. On a bright note, Luke Kuechly will be honored at halftime.

You could throw a dart at *any* uniform MBB has worn over the last 75 years & it would always be better than the current

RIP Coach Amato. Thank you for your influence and guidance in shaping me as a young LB from Western PA coming down to @PackFootball. You showed me tough love when I needed it & taught me Commitment, Sacrifice & Teamwork. You'll be missed, but your legacy will NEVER be forgotten!

Chuck Amato was a one-of-a-kind coach and a one-of-a-kind person. We mourn his loss and celebrate his life.

Not a doctor but if it's unsafe for you to sleep, seems like it's also unsafe for you to play quarterback in an NFL game
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.
