6 years old & most of my friends were like “I want to play with boys now” & then I went and played by myself & tried not to cry
ftm childhood when all ur friends are boys and then u start 6th grade & they start ignoring u

also the experience of all your friends being boys & being okay when it’s just you and one of them, but if they play together suddenly you are the target for heaping quantities of misogyny that they use to bond with each other

the response people have to even the hypothetical of self-driving cars are always so weird esp when it’s coming from people who do not take public transportation anywhere. driving is such a class issue & lots of ppl need nondrivers to exist to maintain their class & it shows

like if your anxiety abt self-driving cars is that it will put ppl who would otherwise not drive on the road, increasing traffic & the amt of cars, but you yourself do not take public transit, then you want a class of ppl restricted from car access to maintain -your- car use

if the existence of self-driving cars makes you worry more ppl will opt for cars over bus or train, then you are acknowledging there is something cars have that buses and trains don’t. & that you want some ppl to *have* to take those limited options so *you* don’t

The response to Shane Gillis's joke is why we lose elections, by the way.

new fitness goal
This is why you should be able to squat 150kg at least because what if a baby elephant wants to ride your back and you don't have enough strength to pick it up. Couldn't be me.

bored of normal sex I want to have the sims sex where we jump under the covers and pink lovehearts appear over the bed while kissing and sensual laughter and "mhm" sound effects play

I have to say that when I'm at the gym, I'm too busy paying attention to my own workout to even bother paying attention to what anyone else is wearing
Men complain about seeing women’s asses (something they are vocal about liking, until it’s the woman’s choice to show it off I guess?) meanwhile I’m forced to see men’s ugly faces everywhere I go and you never hear me say they can’t go out in public

being retraumatized and reviolated is the currency survivors pay in exchange for justice and it is so deeply embedded into our conception of how we even *get* justice that it’s obvious “reviolation” and “justice” is the stereoscope through which we’re seen

thing is, being overpowered has very little to do with physical strength & everything to do with the social power backing you up. It’s why rape culture fears less the “strong badass fighter” woman & more the rhetorical power she could gain if her word was believed over his.
