After a worker was buried alive in a San Francisco trench and suffocated to death, prosecutors filed manslaughter charges against three men.
Construction worker Javier Romero, 25, was inside an 8-foot-deep trench when it collapsed on top of him.
The district attorney said the worker’s death was preventable -- not just a tragic accident.

Bombshell allegations were made today as two grandparents pleaded not guilty to murdering their son-in-law, Jonathan McKinsey, in Dublin.
A defense attorney told reporters that McKinsey made death threats and hired a “hit man” to “get rid of” his mother-in-law.
McKinsey, a transgender man who worked as a software engineer, was in a child custody battle and bitter divorce. His in-laws are accusing of plotting and carrying out his murder.
