I am the naked neighbour.
Wearing clothes in my own house? Miss me with that.
My mom told my new friend that I like to walk around the house naked.
WHICH IS NOT TRUE. But if she’s at my house or my sisters, if I am running a bath and need to grab something from the kitchen, I am just gonna GO TO THE KITCHEN.
I don’t just walk around naked smh.
Why grab a towel in your own home???
My blood pressure was got to a level that was safe for me to fly, but I need a further review tomorrow. The meds are making me feel pretty shit.
I’ve had such a lovely weekend at home, but the thought of going back to work is actually sending my anxiety through the roof 😔
Visiting my cousin and he’s made a beef stew.
I’m eating a portion infront of the fire.
I am so HAPPY 🥰

ITS NOT ABOUT HUGS FROM GRANDMA BEING SINISTER ITS ABOUT GIVING CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS AUTONOMY, BOUNDARIES AND MAKING CONSENT TO TOUCH ONE ANOTHER A NORMAL EVERY DAY CONVERSATION AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHH HHHHHH
My niece is 3 and I ALWAYS ask if I can have a cuddle. Sometimes she says no.
It’s not about ME being a risk to her. It’s about letting her know that her decision to have physical contact or not is respected.
If you have an issue with this, you’re the weird one.
Imagine this counterfactual:
A child is made to hug family members at every gathering
Sometimes they like hugs, sometimes they don't
But when they say no, the adults laugh it off and make them give a hug anyway
The child now internalises that their protests are meaningless
And family members can just grab them whenever and they just have to accept it
So imagine, god forbid, what happens if a family member tells the child about giving a "secret hug"
If the child is used to their words being ignored, are they now more or less likely to say no and protest?
