imho ppl are missing the larger point re the CNN staged story. That is, a Syrian fact-checking platform that emerged out of the *Syrian revolution* & was founded by some of its victims was the org to *debunk an anti-Assad* news story. Syrian civil society is alive and well.

Wow, UN fail. Sat in a hotel with two very brave Syrians, one a former prisoner another who is looking for her father. Both were scheduled to travel with the @UNEnvoySyria to a prison facility. Only problem is the convoy left without them. Can you imagine how degrading that is.

Same disease afflicts those who believe the Russian and Iranian ravaging of Syria and mass murder and expulsion of Sunni Muslims is ... erm.... anti-imperialist because the US isn't involved. This binarism (if not US, then good) has destroyed the left and curses many Muslims too.
