Indeed, we do have a completed circle thanks to Big Sky madness this season!
Hey guys, Utah Tech beat Cal Poly... can someone make one of those circles where Utah Tech beats Utah Tech now that they've finally won? @SickosCommittee?

Alas it’s settled, the best logo in sports that will never need to be changed. The @DetroitRedWings
How long has each franchise in the Big 4 used it's current primary logo? (Logo data via @sportslogosnet)

I mean, just an all-time TV segment. Making Chuck do Who He Play For multiple times in a row with the same players is a brilliant idea and I was legit crying laughing by the end, my god.

The Belgian duo has stopped. They completed 124 Yards. 124 hours of running. Ignored 124 chances to quit. A new World Record. 👏

Week 8 schedule quirks: • Hawai‘i @ Northern Illinois is a conference game between schools separated by roughly 4,200 miles. Hawai‘i would have a shorter trip to Tokyo, Guam OR Mexico City! • Indiana is going for its 1st win in Ann Arbor since 1967 • Virginia Tech visits Clemson for the 1st time since 2012 - incredible considering both have been ACC mates since 2004 • Texas Tech makes its 1st trip to Cincinnati • Michigan State heads to UCLA for the 1st time since 1974 and plays in Pasadena for the 1st time since 1966 • USC visits Wisconsin for the 1st time since 1965 • Iowa State heads to Arizona for the 1st time since 1966 • Houston visits Utah for the 1st time since 1977 • Kansas State returns to Arizona State for the 1st time since 1989 • Oklahoma-Mississippi State meet for the 1st time ever • Duke-Virginia will play for the 3rd time in 342 days • Cal @ SMU is a 9 AM body-clock kickoff for the Golden Bears

One of my favorite parts of XC is yelling stuff at athletes... You can see it in their eyes while racing if they hear you and respond to it. Your voice as a coach or fan can help. Take the time to figure out what works/resonates with athletes.

A college kid in a Spider-Man suit missed a field goal this morning and still walked off the field with $2 million. His name is Carter. He's a biology student at BYU who wants to be a dentist, and he says he had no idea there was even a kicking contest when he showed up on campus this week. The contest belongs to Pat McAfee, the former NFL punter turned ESPN host. Every Saturday on College GameDay, he picks one student out of the crowd and gives them a 33-yard kick for a pile of money. He started it back in 2023 to prove kicking is harder than it looks on TV, and for three seasons every dollar came out of his own pocket. ESPN puts that at more than $6 million to students and charities. This year Home Depot started matching whatever Pat puts up, so the base prize went to $1 million a kick. Then today happened. BYU hosts Notre Dame tonight, and Jazz owner Ryan Smith, a BYU guy, was standing right there on the set. Pat got him to throw in a million. Then he went after Smith's business partner Ryan Sweeney, who went to Notre Dame, and got him to pledge a million to charity on the same day his school plays BYU. Sweeney agreed, reluctantly. So Carter hooks his first kick wide right. The crowd pretty much refuses to let it end there, Herbstreit lines him up again, and a knuckleball wobbles through the uprights. That's $2 million to him and $1 million to charity. The student section knocked down the barricades to get to him. Here's what I keep thinking about. A 30-second Super Bowl ad cost about $8 million this year. Pat's contest has paid out roughly $8.5 million in seven Saturdays this season, and more and more of that money comes from Home Depot and whoever he can talk into it on air. For around the price of one Super Bowl commercial, he owns the loudest few minutes of college football every week. It's paying off for him, too. Front Office Sports says the contest has taken over from Lee Corso's headgear pick as the show's signature moment. ESPN currently pays Pat $17 million a year to license his show, and he's reportedly in early talks on an extension that could top $60 million a year. For three years Pat paid for this whole thing out of his own bank account. Today two guys in the crowd covered two-thirds of a $3 million prize just to be part of his bit.
A BYU student dressed as Spider-Man won $3 million after making a field goal earlier today. Utah Jazz owners Ryan Smith and Ryan Sweeney, along with Pat McAfee, each pledged $1 million, with $2 million going to the student and $1 million to charity.

Ever sit back and ask yourself, ‘what kind of impact am I having on my friends? My team? My family?’ If the answer isn’t what you’d expect from someone else, change it. Your impact is driven by your decisions. Make a positive impact.

The Backyard World Team Championship starts this Saturday. 69 countries made up of teams of 15 will run, simultaneously, 4 miles every hour, on the hour, until only 1 remains. They will run in their respective countries, on courses they've designed for themselves. Here is a list of teams with their team qualifying miles.
